Thanks for the tip again Zeke, I quit CODM for a few months and I’ve come back to CODM for 2-3 months already but i suddenly remembered about slide cancelling but I forgot how to do it
Everybody teaches the slide cancel but misses the handcam view. But thank god, you included it. That's exactly what I was looking for.
Pro tip:
If you use hipfire(shoot button) and tap to ads( scope button), another option is to use ur other shoot button for everything, and put your first shoot button nearby on ads. Then you can use your first shoot button purely for slide canceling. 1 more thing, it always helps to have the slide button and whatever you use to slide cancel on opposite sides of the screen

Best way to slide cancel is to let go of the joystick. Figured this one out myself. Just slide, turn, tap (or, depending on your ADS settings, hold) ADS and then let go of your joystick for a brief moment. This method works in BR too.
It will shorten the slide animation, like the traditional method shown in the video, but you can't actually cancel a slide completely. The benefits are reduced sprint-to-fire delay and centering time.
I don't recommend slide cancelling at all times though. Sometimes you want that extra momentum of a full slide. I depends on the situation.

for those who have their ads button and scope button with the tap to hold ads button, keep in mind. that if u slide ur finger from the slide button to the scope button across ur screen, this will simulate how to slide cancel🖤🔥

Bro I just use the jump for cancel and for normal slide hop
I play on a phone with thumbs only. This isnt possible for me
I have years of muscle memory of me using the jump button to cancel the slides.
Maybe you can help me with this zeke I find myself in a sniper fight or any gun fight really and when I go to slide away instead of sliding I will crouch and basically become an easy target. I’ve seen people literally slide peek from standing behind a wall and I have no idea how to do it lol.
Ohhh you have that experience me too and i noticed that when we are sliding we are turning the joystick in the wrong way you might notice that too.
Even i didn't know that i thought i was going to slide but then i crouch bcs i turn my joystick into the right and it's basically for strapping

remove ur finger from the movement joystick and quickly swipe the direction you want to go. if ur respawn only like me turn on always sprint, if not make ur sprint sensitivity higher like 75+ and make the movement joystick smaller as well. this should help you as i dealt with the same problem

I haven't found anyone who can answer this question, so hoping someone here can answer it. When I slide cancel, I find my sensitivity is effected. I have to swipe more to move my crosshair than if I do a regular slide. I think this is because when you slide cancel, you press ADS (I use tap and hold and let go immediately), and for that split second, your sensitivity changes from standard to sniper scope sensitivity. Even though it's for a split second, it affects my crosshair alignment. Does anyone else have this issue and know how to get around it? I don't want to use "Gradually switch while opening ADS" for "Sensitivity Switch"
I don't have a complete answer to your question, but i do have a trial solution. What you could do is bring your sniper scope pixel travel rate as close as possible to your fpp no scope pixel travel rate (NOT THE SENSITIVITY NUMBERS THEMSELVES BUT HOW MUCH YOUR CROSSHAIR MOVES ACROSS YOUR SCREEN WHILE IN NO SCOPE AND WHILE SCOPED IN). It won't affect your gameplay much because you must be already used to your fpp no scope sens. In case it doesn't work, please make sure to remember your earlier sniper sens.

I watched some of my raging cactus's live streams at reduced speed. what he does is: slide (don't cancel immediately) -> swipe to align cross hair -> tap ADS to slide cancel. it's hard to get the timing right, but I think you eventually get used to it. What I was doing previous was slide -> tap ADS to slide cancel immediately and swipe to preaim simultaneously

what is the difference between normal sliding and slide cancel?
Nornal slide can be a longer distance slide. The slide cancel can be beneficial to you to prevent enemies from tracking your direction, like if they predict your slide as normal they would place their crosshair at a distance because they will assume you to stop there.
@@vixarts4114 this is wrong. it doesn't affect the slide motion at all from an enemy's perspective. all it does is keept he crosshair more stable

The actual purpose of slide cancelling is not messing up ur crosshair placement when sliding.
