I like how the main character seems like a crusty blue-collar guy who is more annoyed than scared of having to work overtime and deal with the goddamn Muppets again.
That's what make this game unique!
Damn Muppets make everything a hassle!
I know this is just the demo and the actual game probably starts earlier, but this is a really good example of starting a game halfway through the story, with the exposition and mystery, kind of wish the actual game started like this

Reminds me of the demo for republic commando. You get all the attachments, you end up in one of the major areas of the game, a core ship and you need to regroup with the team and it ends with a mini boss fight with a dwarf spider Droid. And those things are hard to destroy

Yeah, as long it doesn’t stretch you into the difficulty.
This game's got a pretty interesting mechanic based around tape. You can shoot enemies to knock them out but they'll wake up again the next time you enter the room. When they're knocked out you can tape them up, which will incapacitate them for the rest of the game. Tape is very scarce though, so you need to decide which ones to tape up and which to leave.
There's a fun "feature" in the game with the tape, where if you tape a puppet in mid-air they stay there forever (done much easier with the long arms cheat)
It's a lot of fun!

This moment genuinely was a jumpscare to me.

With a lot of these mystery/quirky games based around muppets and puppets coming out, Disney or Jim Henson's Workshop needs to make a game themselves in this style. I'd pay top dollar for a Muppets exploration game like this. Fraggle Rock, The Storyteller, Labyrinth-- sign me up.
This is arguably the closest thing we actually get to the video game adapatation of Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared.

I would love it but no one could let it be, it would turn into something that wouldn't "feel" like fraggle rock but some xeroxed copy that misses the point because execs need to maximize nostalgia profits.
No one pay attention to my negativity. I would enjoy any kind of adventure in Fraggle Rock if done respectfully and well enough to earn a posthumous Jim Henson approval .
Dark Crystal. I'd LOVE to see what else that universe had in store.

A very competent and hilarious looking survival horror shooter! Some of the enemies seem a bit bullet-spongey (or letter-spongey, in this case) but I suppose it depends on difficulty, and adding weak points to a puppet probably wouldn't make sense story wise. I know those little mouse puppets are probably evil but gosh are they cute.

Now they just need to add more diverse enemies. Like mr. rags. made from discarded torn muppets sewed together and totally deranged arguing with himself.
Eh, I'd say it's more like Resident Evil due to the way you can take out a limited number of enemies permanently to strategize for when backtracking is required like in the RE1 remake. That said while it mainly lacks in zombies turning into Crimson Heads if you don't burn the corpses (or the killer muppet equivalent) it seems to actually better utilize the concept of only being able to permanently "kill" a limited number of enemies because your tape supply is more limited.

The puppets in this are genuinely unnerving.
Honestly, I see it the opposite. Maybe if they were covered in blood and had sharp fangs and tears in the fabric in some places, but overall I find them hilarious. You can tell the voice actors had fun being hyper muppets for a day.

I love this mecanic which I know from RE 1 remaster, no other games have done this before, this looks like a really neat game! ...but maybe the puppets could be a little more, at leats, threatening, they should would around or smthn, but maybe it's jsut because its the demo.

This is super charming! Great concept and excellent voice acting. I kind of wish the puppet animation had more personality, but I get that that’s a low priority in the game development. Very promising!

Man what I REALLY want from a game like this is to see stuffing flying out of them when they get shot. I guess taht would be needed for an action game really.

I remember being really traumatized by an episode of Angel about puppets/muppets when I was a little kid. This is really similar and keeps giving me flashbacks of it.

I have to say that the voice acting is very good. There's a million ways the voice acting in a survival-horror, muppets-centric indie video game could go very wrong.

Getting some pretty strong Bendy and the Inkmachine vibes from this. The HUD font also kinda reminds me of TF2. There's definitely some great potential within this game, I'm very curious to see how the final version will turn out.
What is it about this game and Poppy's Playtime that makes people think of Bendy? Is it because the location is supposed to be one geared towards children's entertainment?
@@grimgrahamch.4157 Precisely, that and the fact they're meant to be RUclips Bait. The only difference these two games have compared to Bendy is that these two games already have a sense of direction with their mechanics, already have a sense of direction with their story, and are very polished (Keep in mind these are DEMOS, that's crazy!).
Seriously though Bendy's an absolute buggy mess of a "horror" title. It's been nearly 5 years since the game was complete and there are so many fucking bugs in a game with such barebone mechanics.

Ngl I reallylike quite a few of the weapons, they have some interesting designs and ways they function. I like how instead of an ammo counter for the main pistol it's justwhich letter you are to know how much ammoyou have left without looking at the ammo counter.

Gordon’s arms look kind of rough and the animations generally look very machine-like but hopefully this will be improved in the full game. Voice acting is fantastic.
