I was doing a normal playthrough of skyrim and esburn was stuck in the essential crippled animation so I had to shoot him from the shadows to undo the animation and that was after waiting a solid ten minutes for him to get to alduins wall
6:55 I've been playing Skyrim since it came out, and I've never heard that line before, ever. I didn't know you could get arrested by the fake guard. Do the other voice actors also have 'unused' guard lines?

Jw where that third quicksave in the final corridor of the Helgen Keep dungeon came from. I could be wrong but you dropped one outside the exit to the dungeon and one right inside.
The route itself saved about 1m30s mainly due to cutting out the long run to riverwood and whiterun, carriage to riften and using a faster horse tilt setup. A lot of new strats saved about 1 minute and better execution quite a lot too.
It's one I've thought about a bit since it is one of Skyrim's main questlines. Would probably be quite fast with horse tilting and a duplicated magic scroll for killing. If I'm still running Skyrim after All Guilds I might try it.

Activating the elder scroll with the wedding animation (apparently) teleports you to the throat of the world to see the dragonrend cutscene, except with controls. If he didn't have controls he would have had to just wait out the cutscene, which would have added time to his run. I'm no speedrunner, though, that's just what I think it was.

Nah, how horses clip is super RNG too, and that's a huge part of setting up tilts. I don't know if the tilts themselves are RNG though.
