Went for a good ride and really noticed the difference. I have much more battery power remaining than I would have for that distance before. I'm still not as high as it says on the tyre. I just haven't been game to pump it that high. I worry it will explode.
What I find about tires on my bike is that when they're less inflated (like 53 psi), the ride is a less bumpy. But that could cause the tires to get punctuated easier.
Max pressure also leads to tires skidding out when encountering any sand on pavement.
And uneven tire wear.

Yes also you risk getting pinch flats if the pressure is to low. I had mine at 60psi and got one, now I keep it at max recommend pressure at 80psi

Yeah less air will make for a cushier ride. It's also going to be less efficient, less roll per pedal.
What about comfort? Shouldnt the max pressure be too harsh when you encounter bumps on the road?
You will get a softer ride with less air pressure in tires, but it will hurt the range you can get.
