I love escape rooms! Thanks for doing a vid on them! I would say always LISTEN and watch like a hawk carefully to your host in the pre game briefing. This time usually contains valuable information including hints and helps differentiate between their room and other escape games.

Except I don't go to Halloween Haunts, so can't really give tips for those. :-)
Tip #1: Don't allow yourself to be trapped in one to begin with. Prevention is the best cure.
I've heard, look for patterns.
Whatever you do, don't eat any food or drink any beverages that are in the room without checking if it's real AND if there's a clue there.
If you need to use the bathroom will they allow you to?
Done a few so far. From my experience i was usually asked before going in, if it was necessary.
