Phil Mitchell is the most iconic character in EE history. Steve McFadden is a true British 🇬🇧 icon and the main man in television. (20th February 1990) birth of a legend 💯🔥💙
There's no doubting Phil is a legendary Eastenders character. I think you can split his history into parts though. 90s Phil was by far the most grounded & interesting the character ever was, the further he went on from there the more the character has gone off the rails with the show playing up & exaggerating his gangster status to a laughable extent along with with the repetition of endless empty death-threats & last second interventions to both stop him from being killed as well as ever actually having him have to kill anyone himself over the years which is so obvious by this point it's been a running joke among Eastenders fans for a while. He's basically a one-dimensional caricature now & has been for years.
@@NoirFan84 I definitely agree with you the 90s Phil was so much better and definitely more iconic. With that being said Steve will be 70 in 5 years and I don’t think he will carry on playing Phil in that period. I feel like he is going to retire soon. Let’s just hope Grant is with him for the final farewell
That robbery outside The Arches was one of the most ridiculous & unintentionally hilarious storylines Eastenders has ever done. "Guns on the floor, no messing about! Guns on the floor, no messing about!" 🤣
Phil is ageing now, he does look pretty knackered lately at 63, when you compare him to his most villainous hardman era of 1999-2003. Once just a likeable rogue in the early 1990s. The accidental killing of that lad in the car lot in 1994 started the gradual downfall of Phil's character, and the bust up with Grant unleashed the inner demon in Phil, and as of 2024 that still remains.
Phil was one of the greatest characters Eastenders ever had in his initial stint. Unfortunately, he slid into self-parody years ago- maybe it would have been better for him to go after Peggy’s death.
I've been watching Eastenders The Bill & London's Burning 😉on Drama📺 I feel like my Dad back in the day when he watched Gold📺 lol (I'm getting old🤦🏾♀️). I miss the days when Phil used to bully Ian 😂
Legends never die 😉 he's that villain that keeps coming back, jail cant hold him, A bullet cant stop him & drugs cant slow him down 🤷🏾♀️ He just keeps coming back🧟♂️ lol
Nah Peggy deserves it after taking Louise of him and giving her back to Lisa and admitting that she loves the vic more than him. But then again he did slap his mom but had a point when she said he’s not fit to be a parent.
I don’t think we will see Phil in this for much longer. Steve McFadden is five years away from 70 now. It will be unrealistic for him to carry on playing the hard man at that age. Not to mention retirement must be on his mind now. He will probably end up dying through his liver rejecting the tablets. Either that, or he will get a terminal illness like dementia or something.
I love Phil Mitchell but lately he has kept a low profile he has been robbed by Karen then teddy sold his car for cash escaped via taxi then reiss trying to get money out of him what next also when is grant Mitchell returning he said on the one show if they ask me that was months ago still waiting all the best to all xxxlol ❤❤❤ best wishes all soaps
He is my favourite character in television history.
Ever love he’s voice
Phil helping Kim give birth is priceless! I love it when they show a softer and more 'human' side to Phil

I prefer Grant but Phil is definitely a legend in his own right. They should’ve left together in 2006.

The storyline when he finally leaves eastenders will be epic! Probably be killed off.
@@NoirFan84 I feel they wrecked Phil in late 1999-2000 just to fill the void left by Grant's exit. They needed a new bad boy so Phil was picked.

Yeah I wouldn’t class that as a highlight.

😂
I also can't believe the Mitchells allowed Terry's football firm to wreck their pub, how do the mitchells lose their bottle all of a sudden lol
Guns on the floor lol.
Should’ve shown Phil beating up Vinnie Franks, arguably Phil’s best ever scene.

He's 65 now
Get Johnny week has got to be the greatest story line in eastenders history
Phil was such a good character back in the day it’s a shame they’ve ruined his character now and have been gradually making him worse for years.
Eastenders is like Pet Semitary, they can raise the dead & bring people back but they're not the same spirit👻🙈
King Of EastEnders ❤
PAAPQ9Q0
No Den Watts is.
Phil Mitchell is EastEnders
The one night stand Tanya and Phil had me in stiches
Phil Mitchell is the greatest Eastenders character of all time
Even better than Den Watts as well.
@@Uksoapfan No Den Watts is way better and Den destroyed phil with setting him up for the robbery.
Grant is the best, so good on the rampage, never backed down from a fight, always stuck up for family, . Psychotic, but heart of gold in one.

Eastenders ended in 2002
The one where he ruins the car lot with the digger is classic viewing
He is the British version of the kingpin.
1:25:17 even that is great acting ... Best soap character ever !
Legend

He's been dead about nine times
The man's a robot

20 : 38 series 11.07.2024. never a trewer. Word said bro ❤😂🎉
I miss him when is he back
11:52 so true 🤔😂😂😂
Bro he didn't need to burn down the bar bro that was completely unjustified.
Nah Peggy deserves it after taking Louise of him and giving her back to Lisa and admitting that she loves the vic more than him. But then again he did slap his mom but had a point when she said he’s not fit to be a parent.
What's happening to the sound?
what was that?
Most famous man in England that also happens to only be famous in England
a great Mum she was
Phil and rod stewarts twin lol
The modern producers of Eastenders ruined the true & original Phil Mitchell, sad but not exactly shocking
They ruined the whole show. Its depressing no humour & even though they bring back people it's not the same 😔
@@phoenixrose6608 They bring back dead characters, rewrite history and have characters with zero personality.
Mike Tyson Vs Jake Paul who do you think will win this fight of clash of the titans.
That baby looked suspiciouslyike pattick troooooman
Just such a shame he's such a joke now!! He's become a wimp!
8:24 Patsy Kensit looks like burns victim
19th February 2025 will be Phil Mitchells’ last episode?
Because you say so😅
I hope they bring grant back just for last stint I don't know why they don't just kill grant off as I don't think ross kemp has any plans coming back
Phil has a deathbed confession on 19 Feb 2025, he help Nick Cotton kill Reg Cox in 1985 lol.
@@traimitchell5043 you're a Manure fan, nothing else is to be added
Sharon did you really think
Tell her boi
Shauna phelhan leave myself and my robert alone in the playhouse he only belongs to me

Leave him alone
😂😂😂😂😂😂
everyone is so old and flabby now
Take Phil Mitchell and Sharon away and thats it as far as I'm concerned. And who is that drag at the start of this 🤔?
I prefer breaking bad over this that is an incredible series way better than these 💩 British soap operas.
He is not even very strong
NEVER LIKED THE MITCHELLS
