Long ass vent but it has a happy ending for once :D
Whenever my mother lets me go somewhere/do something I like, for however long before that thing happens, she holds it over my head, like blackmail. "I got you concert tickets for your birthday" Turns into "If you don't clean your room right now I'm selling the tickets online!" within a few days. She's been doing this since I was 6. Before that she was always at work and I never saw her except holidays. There is no one in the world who can manipulate me, except her. There are no cruel words that can hurt me, except hers. There is no pain that could make me shed another tear, except the pain which she inflicts. And then she wonders why I don't trust her.
She blamed my friends for being "Bad influences" when I was the ring leader. I took so much blame, because I was to blame. She could only see the version of me that was long gone, the pretty little girl in her yellow dress, who had never been anywhere outside of playing her street. Eventually, she split me up from my true, loving friends, and I was forced to make different ones. I can name each one and how they stabbed me in the back. Halfway through that year, I gave up. I stopped fighting, and everyone took advantage of that. Not a single person in my fourth grade class (including the teacher) didn't hurt, tease or steal from me. My old friends came to my rescue, but the bullying and my mother almost made me kill myself at age 9.
Years before that, my father had been in a car accident. It wasn't his fault at all, but the woman in the other car died. He became guilty and depressed. Even though he did everything he could for me, he was only half there at his best. My grandparents also tried to help out, but they speak broken english and care more about my older cousins.
In kindergarten, I was always awkward, having only talked to my neighbor before. There wasn't pre-school or playgroups, I even skipped JK. I got bullied, but I didn't realize it at the time. I moved schools a year later and forgot most of it. All of this childhood trauma, plus a near death experience (severe allergic reaction) had never really hit me before. But when I was 10, pandemic hit. 2020 was kind of a dream state experience, none of that affected me, cause I'd been alone before. 2021, the shock of it all wore off, and I had way too much time to think.
My childhood memories all came rushing back at me, along with a gender and sexuality identity crisis. At this point, despite me having a lot more than 13 reasons, I had just as many to live. I struggled more than ever. I wasn't harming myself on purpose, but I stopped exercising, doing schoolwork, hanging out with people. And with my mother going crazier than ever (she's OCD, so pandemic didn't mix well with her unstability) I was completely and 100% alone.
I didn't have money to buy new games or books, I didn't have any social media to hang out with online friends.
I was basically a zombie.
I went back to in person school back in april, so that helped a lot. However, over the pandemic, my friend group, in which as I said, I was the ringleader/glue, split up. They all found new friends, and even though I'm really happy they branched out finally, I don't fit in with any of them. I found my own new squad, and they're great, but god I miss the way it was.
At the end of the day though, I think it was for the best. My family can't afford to keep paying the ridiculous rent our building is charging, so after I graduate middle school, we're moving back in with my grandparents.
If we had gotten any closer then we already were, I would have been absolutely devastated when we left.
All of that was months ago. Granted, it feels like a lifetime most days. I'm 13 now, and happy. I'm bigender, and a demi-romantic pansexual.
I finally have normal, teenager problems. Like math homework. My science teacher is an asshole. I like this girl way out of my league. Do I ask her out? I don't have enough money to buy my own guitar. Where am I gonna go to highschool, after we move? Should I get a job right when I turn fourteen, or should I wait a while?
These are all minor problems compared to the rest of my life, so I get to help my friends when they're worried. It's not much to me, but it's a lot to them, and that means the world.

Type "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" for as long as you want if you just want to scream and let it out irl but can't. Reply to this with some advice if you take great comfort in being a therapist friend/internet commenter like me, but don't feel pressured to do so at all.
Lastly, if you read all this emotional garbage for some reason, go drink some water and pat yourself on the back for staying alive this long, cause the world sucks. But some people out there (like the person reading this I bet) are still pretty cool \(◦'⌣'◦)/

God that sounds terrible, but I’m glad you’re ok. If you do believe in god, I’m glad he was there for you at your worst. If you don’t, I’m glad you kept strong. I guess it is my time to share then.
Everything was perfect until my mom went to college again. She started coming home late at about 10-11 pm and me(6 at the time) and my brother (4 then) tried to stay up and see her but we never could. We usually reached about 9 : 30 or so before passing out. However, that wasn’t all. Our parents argued, and even though they tried to cover it up I could tell something happened through that time, but I was too blind. Things continued for a year, it only got worse, and then they said they were getting a divorce. I still remember how I felt. And it continued every day. I isolated myself. Nothing helped. I cried every single night until I finally found a friend. She helped lift me up. We shared our past with each other and to this day we are besties. She gave me the courage to make friends again, but it only helped to an extent. When my dad remarried I had a hard time adjusting. The woman yells so much it sometimes gets unbearable. To top it all off there are people stalking me and a pervert in my class following me around like a lapdog. It’s creepy and I don’t know how much I can take. Nowadays everything is just coming back at me like a punch to the face. It’s getting bad again. I don’t know if I can keep this up but I keep praying for a miracle that I’ll be happier and mentally healthier than now. It’s all I can do. I’m 12 turning 13 in May, but I’m still working on myself. While everyone has their hardships, and I know it’s ok to share more but it’s not my responsibility to have people know everything about me, and I personally don’t feel comfortable sharing everything. There’s way more to the story but I won’t add it. You don’t have to text back.

I use to listen to this song back then when i was really depressed. I come back every now and then, it’s so nostalgic & reminds me of how far i’ve come from a very dark place in my life. Anyone who reads this just know you are worth more than you’ll ever know and you will be okay.
Sometimes I feel like I wanna pass out without anyone knowing. Then just come back to life whenever I want to. This song is also pretty relatable. I don’t really know if anyone else feels this way, but I just do. And sorry for the vent. I just felt like it.

One time I opened my problems to my older sister. I thought she will understand me but I was wrong, she judged me too. That's why I did not open my problems again to them. And I don't feel that I'm important to my mother because even though it's not my fault she always blame me.
And when we argue she always said that "why you're so close to your friends like they are more important than your family?" I did not answer her because I know they will judge me again, so I keep silent.

I’m a teenager and have been depressed for two years now. For the first one and a half year of my depression I was able to get through it without killing myself because of my best friend. She told me it wasn’t worth it to die and was my motivation to keep fighting. But a few months ago she had to transfer to another city. It’s been getting harder and harder to keep fighting without her. I just really want to give up and end my life but I don’t want my parents to go through the pain of losing me.

But depression doesn't care so when someone suspects we are depressed we'll probably, my friend thinks I'm depressed because I told her I don't really care whether I died tomorrow or in 2 days and then another friend said to me how can I not be scared of death and then the other one goes out and says well if you wanna kill yourself or die you wouldn't be scared of death. And I've told my friends that when there was a guy who shot his gun outside our schools perimeter I was literally thinking, "please, please, please I really hope the guy comes in and shoots me in the stomach so I will die slowly but painfully and people will just look at me with horror in their eyes. And I alps have the lowest self esteem can go but I don't cut cause people would see I just punch and slap myself on my head and on my body that way when I feel pain I feel better. And in school I was hitting a punching bag that eashent ours and my skin ripped off a bit and it swelled badly but I was just smillign saying it doesn't Hurt but that was because I wanted to feel that pain I like bruised and scars and I always want to get more scars... Yes I'm definitely depressed.

I've been broken for 11 years unable to change course while ever so slowly sinking, I've always been a firm believer that drugs alcohol or anything that messes with your perception of reality is bad and should never be done. That being said I continue to stare at my screens high or drunk just to forget for even a second that I'm drowning in this body with nobody to pull me out, even now I can see the waste of life I'm becoming and I can't do anything about it. The only thing i can think of thats worse than falling apart is KNOWING it's happening but being unable to stop it.
