Pokemon Legends Arceus is out now, and I decided to start my game off by limiting which Pokemon I could use! I'm going to be using Hisuian Pokémon ONLY, and even though this game isn't a traditional Pokemon experience I think this challenge is going to be super fun!
Normal Nuzlocke Rules:
1. If your Pokemon faints it must be released
2. I can only catch the first Water Type Pokémon on each Route
3. I must nickname my Pokémon
Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules:
4. No items in battle (held items are fine)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4's highest level Pokemon (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on "Set" battle mode

arcanine was far and above the most difficult boss fight. i had more trouble with it than arceus. also surprised you didnt do the postgame, considering that without spoilers you fight the *actual* final boss there. the postgame of pla is what made it far and above my favorite pokemon game ever

its always fun to see how they experiment with diffrent ideas of games and content because its nice with a little change so it isnt the same all over again but i agree that they should bring back gyms and definitely more trainer battles like before. So i am exited to see what they are planing for forture pokemon games like maybe a combination of pokemon sword/sheild and Arceus wouldnt be a bad idea.

For hisuian decidueye, i love the design its fantastic, its just not great in battle, if i so much as look at a flying type this dude explodes, which is why in postgame i switched it out for a typhlosion

Great video as always! From what I have seen of the Hisuian Pokemon from these videos, I would say that Zoroark's new form is my favorite due to its new and unique typing and pleasent, well crafted design. While I likely won't get this game any time soon (just does not seem like of my cup of tea with what it focuses on compared to prior entries), it is nice to see that the series is FINALLY advancing in some regards after the decades of painful repetition the series is infamous for. Shame the visuals couldn't keep up with the jump (I am someone who can still appreciate gameplay past lesser graphics but the fact that the game looks like it came out 5 years before BOTW instead of 5 years after is something I cannot understand for the life of me). Regardless, great video and I hope the best for you and those around you!

Loved the video! Just stumbled upon your channel today and have been low-key binge watching your content. Started out with the shiny dragon only play-through of Pokemon X, as I am currently sitting here with my 3DS running, playing Pokemon Y. I'm a long-time Pokemon fan, still have my original copies of Red and Blue for the GameBoy. But holy S***, Legends Arceus completely turned the game franchise on its head and I'm absolutely living for it. If you haven't done so yet, complete the dex, because the end battle with Arceus is ... I won't spoil it, but be ready to lose hours of your life. The post-game story-line that leads up to the Arceus content is honestly better than the regular game story line, at least in my opinion. So if you haven't made it past the traditional end-game and you already love the game, then you will definitely be in awe by the true ending.

idk. for me, the Avalugg fight was the 2nd hardest behind Arceus. I legit have no memory of the Dialga fight. if it wasn't for remembering that I picked Irida, then I would've had no idea if I fought Dialga or Palkia as a noble fight. it must've been pretty easy compared to Avalugg, because I have no other explanation.
I’m super late to this video because I was still avoiding spoilers when you posted it, but I gotta say you have GREAT opinions about the lord fights. Just absolutely correct.
Your accidental balm-only fight with Kleavor is what I did for all the Nobles. Electrode and Avalugg were the only ones I had real trouble with and only Avalugg made me faint. It's really fun only using the balms to beat the Nobles.
I'm far too impatient to do them with balms only lol but I may try it one day when I have the extra time.
My first shiny in this game was a male combee. My first alpha was a bidoof which I nicknamed God

I beat legends Arceus without using healing items at all, in or out of battle, it was still pretty easy, but I feel like made it way more fun

Arcanine's fight is hard because the shape of the arena makes it difficult to effectively dodge... Especially when there is fire

I was underleveled the whole game expect for the beginning and at the end where I caught the alpha gallade. Though all of my Pokemon were like lvl 50 or less and the battles were lvl 60s. Only hard battle is that ninja,.got me down to 1 poke. Didn't even use items though
This is probably the first shiny only nuzlocke i will ever do both because it’s easy to find pla shinies and i can’t mod my games to increase the shiny odds

Avalugg and Electrode were way harder for me after I found Arcanine's pattern, I beat all but Avalugg without using Continue Battle

Arcanine is the hardest noble fight, without a shadow of a doubt. I died at least 5 times before i beat him.
No electrode is the hardest cus I blacked out the most battling him

Ok can you become clearer did you have a full team of hisuian Pokémon in legends arceus or did you have a full team of sinnoh Pokémon in legends arceus
metahuman is a good theory, but you have forgotten one key detail; at the beginning of the game the player character is given a divine quest by their god arceus. their power is therefore presumably derived from Them, meaning the player is, in fact, most likely a paladin or cleric! i say paladin/cleric and not warlock because usually warlocks actively cast magic whereas paladins often use it passively in the sense that they are blessed to be stronger and more resilient (this depends on what god the paladin worships and how they prefer to face combat of course). whether the player is a paladin or a cleric depends on whether you prefer to subdue the frenzied lords mainly through fighting or mainly through the use of healing balms (very cleric/general healer i think).
there is also an argument to be made that the player character could be considered a ranger as rangers derive their power through their connection to nature! :)
im so happy im not the only one who got DESTROYED by the arcanine fight. and it sucked cuz i looked up if there was something i was missing and all the guides were like "lol this fight is literally so easy just throw the food at it dumbass" and i had no idea why it was so hard for me when everything else wasnt.
it took me so many tries haha. I hated it.

if anyone sees this here's a tip you might not know. Throwing a balm as fast as you can will go a shorter distance than if you hold it for longer. It makes arcinine much easier
I've played all pokemon for GBC, GBA and NDS, now switch, and this one is the best so far! (my opinion ofc)
It's a really solid game! I just want them to take the really open feel of this game, expand on it, and include more traditional battles in the main story and we've got a winner.

In my water only run of Legends Arceus a similar thing happened with the shiny voltorb, as I was trying to get to a Space-time distortion across a River (without basculegion I hadn’t beat the 2nd lord aka lady) I was trying to get on the cliff to jump across when shiny god appeared, otherwise our lord and savior bidoof. Why was I trying to get to the space-time distortion? For an eevee, and straight at the end of the distortion a shiny drifblim appeared. I so glad I didn’t fail the shiny.

I didn't understand what the restrictions of the challenge mean here. You fight mai with floatzel and shinx and it not scripted to use them. I understand its not nuzlocke, you explain and that makes sense, but they are not even hisuian forms at any point in the line. So isn't even the hisuian only part already failed? I know the only pokemon you get in the beginning area before the bridge with any connection to hisui is the starters, but shouldn't the part where its a challenge be beating those early fights with just the starter? Or is it mathematically impossible in combination with whatever the level restriction is? I wasn't clear on that.
I didn’t elaborate on it, and I probably should have, but I tried to keep my levels reasonable and not massively over level, and I’m pretty sure the only new or Hisuian Pokémon you can get early on is Stantler, but I was also playing this game two weeks before it officially released, so I just didn’t really have any information. Anyway - with trying not to overlevel I think the early game would be impossible with just the starter
The game is fun finding all the spirits is an absolute pain....and the final, final boss the name sake of the game is really difficult
Seriously for Inkay you have to turn your 3ds upside down to evolve it that is more wtf than using an item during a full moon
