Amazing how such a large aircraft can fly so smoothly and be able to take off as fast as it does. I was on one of these about ten years ago and it was the best flight I ever had. Of course it was a Lufthansa airline, and flying with them wasn’t cheap but the quality was well worth the flight.

50 minutes of taxiing?! That reminds me of when I was on a Spirit flight taxiing at FLL for more than half an hour...for an Orlando flight! It was cool though because a UPS plane took off right next to me, don't remember the exact aircraft type.

The A380 may be quiet compared to other airliners but it’s still very loud. And when cruising, that thing sounds like a rocket more than it does like a typical jet.

Awesome takeoff video and sound! It sounds like GEs engines. The Hi mic you use how do you connect to your DSLR? Does iT need an adapter for DSLR? I have a Panasonic FZ-1000 camera.

Thank you very much!! These are the Trent 900's. There are probably options to connect this microphone to a camera, but we synchronize the audio manually during post processing (a snap or clap appears as a spike in the audio from the microphone and the camera, which allows them to be synced easily).
