I'm always surprised when people mention Guardian Tales because I assumed it was just a small game that almost nobody knew about. Also, I've been replaying it recently after about a year or 2 of not, and the fact that TOA has the dash and attack buttons swapped is really throwing me off. I hope TOA adds an option to switch controls in the future. On another note, one issue I feel like I have with TOA is that the levels all just feel empty and lifeless, especially compared to Guardian Tales. I think it really boils down to how there aren't really any side-missions or side-dialoge. There are some quips from the team occasionally in extra spots, but one of the things I love about Guardian Tales is how many NPCs there are. It doesn't have to be complicated either. For example, in Floor 2, maybe there could be a family of hangsters that you can interact with that are just talking about what they are going to eat for dinner. It adds extra depth and simple storytelling in how their living conditions may be. I also would love to maybe have some NPCs give out mini side-quests instead of you just doing them by exploration. For example, also on floor 2, there is a group of hamsters that escaped through a path of obstacles, but one of them is too scared to go through, so they ask you to lead them through without getting hit, and you will get a bear jelly or some other reward. This would also likely require them to remove the time limit, which they should really do anyway because it serves no purpose outside of rushing people for no reason. I don't mind it for the challenge stages though.
I love the little video game references in Tower Of Adventures! I noticed that the fighting mechanic is similar to Cult Of The Lamb’s fighting mechanics! And, as a COTL fan, I screamed so loud when I saw this. I don’t know if this is an actual reference, but I just noticed it right off the bat.
If anyone is on the fence about playing this..DO IT! It’s honestly the most fun cookie run game I’ve ever played the gameplay is smooth and the right amount of challenge there’s loads of game modes and mechanics and honestly it’s just really really fun I really hope this game gets popular so they can add more and more updates

So I'm not the only one who thought "wait a minute... This looked like Guardian Tales!" 😅 Well, good to know I'm not alone lol I might give the game a try :D
This just made me realize I lost an epic 😭😭. I was on my phone when I was pulling for gacha, then I switched to my laptop (to see if it was possible on laptop for free package). I got the soda cookie animation BUT I didn’t have her in my cookie team 😭😭. I LOST A COOKIE I WAS WANTING. Anyways, I got rye after her :p
2 days into the game and it's fun so far! I pre-registered, so I got Chamomile Cookie for free, i just promoted Dark Choco and even got Rye! I also played with my first online friend in multiplayer, and although a short run, it felt good playing with someone else! My goal is to get Cream Soda Cookie and hopefully grind enough to level my other epics up! One problem: IT'S SO HARD TO GRIND! At least the gacha is actually very generous to first-timers (AKA all of us). Lemon Zest is missing, though, so I bet he'll show up next update. I'm SugardaleExpress in case anybody wants to friend me!
