Clive is brilliant.
I have to say I’m probably leaning towards Clive’s choices (no surprises there).
Sesko has everything I want in a forward - pace, power, presence, can shoot with both feet, good in the air (with the potential to be monstrous), works and presses hard, and is already scoring at a 109mpg pace at 20/21 years old, which is really exciting. Still needs a little bit of work, but theres *a lot* to work with there, and would leave us plenty for other business.
Unfortunately I don’t see Olise coming to us - lovely player, and looks easily affordable if these rumoured clauses are legit, but I suspect he’s hitting a level now where he’ll want to be the guaranteed main man on his preferred right.
But Neto, though… it’d be a gamble, but man, I’m really tempted! As a pure profile, he’d be perfect - adds the kind of take-on threat we need, and he’s comfortable enough down both sides that he won’t want for minutes. The injuries are a worry - we’d have to hope the club do their homework thoroughly if we go for it - but they may also be the reason why a player of his quality would jump at a move to a club like Arsenal, where he wouldn’t be a guaranteed starter, and wouldn’t be disruptive. Prem-ready and, again, there could be a very reasonable deal to be done there.

Do you know what I’m really enjoying? Being able to trust my club again. We all have our favourites, and it’s a lot fun trying to guess, but I realised earlier that I’m also totally relaxed about Arteta and Edu doing something random and unexpected. The important thing for me is that I trust them to see the same issues that I’m seeing and I trust that they’ll be addressed, which hasn’t always been the case.

Isaak first choice, but would blow our entire budget so if we get Sesko I'm happy.
Winger - we need an absolute rocket winger, one that strikes fear into defenders said it for a couple of years. Saka is quick on the ball and has a good change of direction in possession but he isnt lightning quick. I wonder if Mitoma could play on the right, I know he mostly plays on the left but someone with that top tier acceleration would be fantastic. Not so keen on Neto only cos of the injuries but maybe the less minutes he would play under Saka might be ok for his body. From a style pov he is perfect.
I'd be very happy with Mitoma. Suits us well.

Isak seems to be the Number One Choice.. would love to reignite his partnership with Martin Odegaard..but can't see Newcastle selling HIM... Benjamin Sesko is a Great PROSPECT...but I don't buy the idea of having Havertz (Who isn't a Natural Goal Scorer) and a Young Prospect as our Striking Options...For Me Viktor Gyokeres represent that real GOAL SCORING THREAT at the Number 9 Position..Can Score as well as Create Chances for his Teammates...All the Strikers Represent a RISK..but Can You Imagine Viktor Gyokeres with Arteta's Coaching..

The striker I would sign Aleksandar Mitrovic, V. Gyökeres, I. Toney, A. Dovbyk, R. Lewandowski or O. Watkins. I would not sign Sesko or Osimhem. The player to replace R. Nelson for me is Olise or Kudus.

We scored enough goals without martinelli playing being a bit off it lead not seen enough of him in games I would stick with havertz up front and spend more on a better midfield and winger and a left back
Bluddy brilliant schtuff tom thanks for quarterbacking this. absolute banquet of salient points. especially loved the off the ball aura chat and the idea of darwin nunez being a wrecking ball at arsenal. personally if it was up to me i'd go all out for a marquee winger like musiala, kvaratshelia or xavi simons, or forwards like openda and boniface if such an opportunity arose, though wouldn't want to break the 100 mil threshold. then for pure bang for buck value there are the likes of sesko, nico williams, bakayoko, zubimendi, olise, guirassy nd wotnot. a true release clause feast

The reality is we need multiple positions covered with Striker, RW and number 6 & 8 priorities.
Declan Rice obviously can cover both midfield positions but we need someone who can do the same. Or two midfielders to cover 6 & 8.
Sesko by far covers what we need from a striker. Young, big, tall, fast, skillful and a very good shot on both feet. For a 21 year old his skillet is impressive and at 50m he's great value.
Xavi Simons is the perfect signing covers wing, cam, cm and at 21 his ability is already extremely high. If he costs 30-40m he's a bargain even at 50m his versatility makes him a must sign. 😂❤
