Just realized I forgot to make notes about the key changes in this one, but I'm not gonna go through the copyright dispute process again just for that, so here they are: D minor at the beginning, then down a whole step to C minor at measure 68 (1:17), then up a fifth to G minor at measure 77 (1:32), then back to D minor at measure 86 (1:47). Thanks for your understanding!

How DO you dispute the copyright? I'm working on a similar project for the LotR soundtrack, how can I make it possible?

Man, he really does love d-minor.

It's essentially omnipresent in his music. Even the Kung Fu Panda scores.

    "I like writing in D . . ." haha

This channel is amazing. The amount of time it must take to produce these analyses, and then to just give them away to us! So much excellent learning material - thank you!

Of course he likes writing in d. He has a hard time reading scores and mostly improvises on his keyboard. And d-minor is probably the best key to improvise and build melodies in.

Ohh, after taking a closer look at this reduction, I finally realized that a lot of the melody is actually in bass clef!! That's actually so pleasing to see as a cello player. So many amazing songs have all of the melodies mainly in treble clef. While, yes, it is feasible to transcribe said melody to bass clef, but it still doesn't sound quite right. Seeing this melody in bass clef really makes me excited to pull out the 'ol cello and give it a whirl, after warming up properly that is!

"Watch your volume here" - LOL, shouldn't that be a disclaimer for all Zimmer soundtracks? Superb work as always!

Maybe, but that's why it's called "Discombobulate".
      "Panic, Shear Bloody Panic,"
      "Psychological Recovery... 6 Months."

+JJay Berthume Well, I don't know what happened to your comment about loving Hans Zimmer and only joking with what you had said, but I did see it and wanted to say that I have similar sentiments and am doing the same.
      "Data, Data, Data"
      "My Mind Rebels at Stagnation"
I love much of Hans Zimmer's music, including his work for Sherlock Holmes, and if I may say, I think it would be great to see a video on how he orchestrated this music, I read that he did some pretty interesting, innovative and creative things to get the sound he wanted.
From Wikipedia: "For the musical accompaniment, composer Hans Zimmer used a banjo, cimbalom, squeaky violins, a "broken pub piano" and other unconventional instruments such as the Experibass."

I only realised that this was the film version and not the TV series after clicking the video. Still great.

I realized it in the title of the score.
      I thought,
      1. Did he just mean Sherlock? (No Holmes)
      2. Did Hans Zimmer do the music for both? Bravo again sir...

If you decided to analyze this, then maybe consider doing also a piece by Ennio Morricone for Once Upon A Time In The West (1968):
    Farewell To Cheyenne

    Could you do
"The Adventures of Tintin" by John Williams? Its the very first song in the soundtrack.

This is awesome! Would love to see more from the Pirates score. "One Day" or "Jack Sparrow" would be an interesting challenge!

Awesome job! one thing though, I think that the sixteenth notes starting in bar 45 should instead be written as a quintuplet, since they don't quite land on beat two. Maybe the violins are just rushing though.

William Whitaker To a degree you can take them in their respective contexts as competent composers
But if had to swap composers on Star Wars, ET, Superman, Jurassic Park, and Harry Potter
with Pirates of the Caribbean, Sherlock Holmes, Inception, Interstellar, I’d rather hear Williams’ take on Zimmer’s films
