Have a Resin Druzy Christmas
Hi I'm Wendy a resin artist and crafter.
In this video I am trying out a druzy mould from Jadey'sart.
I bought these moulds myself and really looked forward to them arriving in the mail. I use 4 different ways to make the Decoration and make one off camera just because I couldn't stop.
I also use Dichroic crinkle film and try out other methods too.

Hi Wendy. All lovely and with lights on tree look even better. My mother bought us bags of choc wrapped coins to hang on the tree (1960’s) & we weren’t allowed to eat them so each year (for over 10yrs) they were brought out to hang, imagine how long yours would have lasted 😂😂 hugs 🦆💕

I am partial to greens and blues, so the silver powder with the dichroic and blue resin back are my very favorites! On my iPad, through your camera lens and over my wonky satellite wi-fi, they looked like peacock colors and were GORGEOUS!!

Don’t know if you’re familiar with little-windows, but they have a whole kit with dichroic films and Lots of videos for many designs. Not sure if they ship overseas, but I bet they do. Give them a view.

They are gorgeous! I do sort of wish you had de-molded them after every one so that it was easier to put the finished product with the technique, but most people can probably remember better than me…😂

I have been playing with resin for so long and never have I found out, until just now, how to clean brushes of resin. Now I see how easy it is I'm sitting here thinking... Just how thick can a person be? Said person being me! 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for the info, great video and beautiful baubles x

Hi Wendy! Gorgeous! May sound crazy but I use hard candy wrappers! The best ones are the strawberries hardtack at Christmas time for beautiful reds greens and yellows. And you get a lot! Try them in a video

Thank you so much for showing how to clean resin out of those little bottles! I wasn't sure how well they'd clean so I've been afraid to try it. I have the same Let's Resin Metallic powders and LOVE them!! I love the way your ornaments turned out. I've made a couple of blue and silver ones this year and my mom was questioning my color choices. I love the blue and silver!

Hi Trish. My favourite is definitely the Bronze one. The Blue comes in 2nd place. You have such beautiful things on your side of the world. I so wish we could also buy some of these beautiful powders here. With the rand /pound/dollar exchange it is just to expensive. Love your channel 💕💐

The ornaments look so beautiful. The dichroic film on ebay looks like angelina film. You can use a warm iron to connect multiple layers. You can put angelina fibers or glitter between the layers. On ebay it looks like angelina fibers were used. By crumpling the film you can get the same look. I ordered some from Etsy and am trying that out. Maybe that's cheaper and more available.

@@Toonpish I just wanted to give a quick update. I have tried the color Calypso Blue. I crinkled it up a bit and it looks great. I used the same mold as in the video. And I used the Mold "Glatte Cartoon-Tierschablone" I ordered this from Amazon. The effect on the matte version looks pretty great with the "Angelina Film" foil. I will try some more colors and report back. I will combine several colors with the help of heat, let's see what comes out. The manufacturer is called Embellishment Village. I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas 2022.

Those molds are GORGEOUS. But my experiences so far with that metallic powder... 😖😝🤬! No matter how careful I am (and I can be overly scrupulous and nit-picking...), so far I struggle to get these powders to work to my standards of perfection. 😝 They do not work mixing them in resin! And my box of 500 Q-tips is nearly empty from trying to clean up after them. The look is beautiful. But not for someone who is too much of a perfectionist! I hate the colors going where I don't want them to... But that's just me.
I definitely do want to thank you for that part about how to clean the bottles. My order of them is still sitting unopened, thanks to being afraid to use them. And with too many Christmas projects to try to figure out how. Now, at least, I am on my very last present today. 😋. Then next...gift wrapping... 😭. Since each gift can take me up to three hours to wrap... But making bows, pleating the paper, picking out just the absolute right decorations to add to the bows... My sister won't open her presents for a year sometimes...until she gets the next ones. This year I am going to just wrap some empty boxes and put her presents in gift bags! 😁

Last year I used brown paper, the type that packs out delivered items to wrap Christmas presents in.
It cost nothing, did the job and was recycled 😂😂😂

I do feel your frustration with the powders they are annoying to clean but isopropyl alcohol does wonders at cleaning them off.

Oh wow! I especially loved the silver with blue background (top right of your pic with them all) because the silver bleeding into the crystal texture area all around looks like a window frosting around the border/edges in winter!!! Very cool, very beautiful!
What a pleasant surprise when I realized I have the full unopened "Lets Resin Metallic pigments". How have I ignored/forgotten them all this time?? I assumed they were regular mica and gold metallic mica's always kinda disappoint as they do indeed seem muddy/dull. I'm so glad I came across your video! Very excited to crack open these bottles and use them the way you inspired!!

They are all gorgeous so it's hard to choose a favourite. Sliver and blue looked amazing, as did the tuquoise one. The copper/bronze one was really good too. It's very mesmerising to watch the perfect sheen of that metallic powder!
