*In Stars and Time* is a game about a DnD/JRPG style heroic team is ready to take on the big bad, The King, who's trying to freeze the country of Vaugarde in time, but oops! The player character Siffrin (the mysterious rogue and 4th member of the team) gets killed in the first corridor of the final dungeon and wakes up the day before, quickly learning that they're stuck in a time loop which *surely* will end when they finally defeat The King right? ...Right? Gameplay is turn based RPG with heavy puzzle elements and lots and LOTS of dialogue out of combat (to the point I'd say borderline visual novel but the dialogue is a LOT more reactive to plot progression than the average visual novel's is). Tone wise it's kind of like if Undertale and Omori had a kid. VERY story heavy, lots of humor, cuteness, great worldbuilding and a fun, lovable cast alongside heavy mental illness themes, psychological exploration and some truly gut wrenching feels. What sets it apart from those two is it's amazing ability to predict where the player is emotionally and incorporating that into the writing (I'd say meta but in practice it's more 'wow Siffrin is so me' sometimes), lots of LGBT+ themes (as you can probably gather from this song~
