The feeling when even the Dutch PM is just laughing at Trump. Priceless... :)
JonnyRed801 what cars do Americans buy mainly? Not sure who will suffer with those tariffs...
BMW isn't Dutch though.
Krisztián Kőrösi laughing? Trump has charisma and he just likes to make subtle jokes when speaking. It's polite to laugh. He isn't a politician. And it's refreshing
emotionscomeandgo he is not a politician that's for sure. More of a clown.
JonnyRed801 let me ask again who do you think will pay those tariffs?
wakaisgood if that's a joke, it is a good one. :)
We do not build bmw s bmw s are german not dutch

I work with Dutch people over 4 years. And I can assure you that Dutch people do not hesitate to be honest even if it is bitter 😉
We never hesitate to say whats on our mind.

As a Belgian, yeah that's how things should be. Just be direct and to the point, no need for chitchat and what not.

Good to see the Dutch prime minister calling Trump out. Pity there’s no one with that much spine in America’s Republican Party.

Trump
The Dutch PM is straightforward in his opinion.
Honestly sounded like a pretty amicable exchange. Sounded like he was eager to work out something positive.
Every world leader looks uncomfortable around this guy 😂

There is no evidence that North Korea is reducing their nuclear stockpile. There is however evidence that they are continuing to increase their uranium production.

Searched the whole universe still didnt find any awkwardness
He’s not awkward he’s Dutch. He says what he wants when he wants.
Yeah, that’s the Dutch in a nutshell.
That wasn’t awkward, Rutte stood his ground and it was amazing.
Basically..
Trump: if i do my job itll be positive; if i dont do my job itll also be positive.
Rutte: No! You have to do your job.
Trump: "I'm sure that I will be re-elected."
Rutte: "NO! That's not positive. We-the-Dutch will work something out."
Rutte is also out
@@qwertyuiopzxcvbnm9890 We'll see about that. Chances are that he will be easily re-elected in the March elections. He is by far the most popular politician in The Netherlands, even though - as a prime minister - he gets a lot of criticism. Still his party is the largest by far, and that is what counts when push comes to shove.
Rutte: “No”
American: “omg I love Dutchies they’re so honest”
I like this guy. Maybe I should move to the Nederlands. I guess I'll have to start working on the language. "Waar kan ik een haringsandwich kopen?" :-)
meestal in de supermarkt, maar een boterham met haring is niet te vreten, gewoon los met ui, das echt hollands. smakelijk
for those 2 lazy to use translator: in the supermarket, but we dont eat a sandwichherring, we eat the herring alone dipped in unions, thats really dutch.
I shouldn't do it. As a Dutchman I could say that we have our problems to that divered our country in pieces.

Dear Dutch people,
Not awkward at all.
Love,
UK
He did the exact right thing.
They are both representatives of their country and he has the responsibility to make the record clear, even if it makes another representative uncomfortable.
Not only did he do the right thing, but he did it confidently, made his point clear, and didn't have to be aggressive with his speech while doing it.
Rutte is treating him like a toddler here. This is the correct approach with someone like Trump.
No interruption to Donald Trump is ever gonna be rude, Almost every educated human on earth has anything more important to say than him.
Carlos Ch are you a billionaire or leader of your country?
Ah you got me I’m not educated... that means a degree right?
That wasn't awkward... he was firm, his tone had deepened and he followed it up with an additional "that would not be positive." "we need to work something out."
Both the Dutch King and the Prime Minister have had jobs outside of the Dutch Government during their time in government. The King was an airline pilot until 2018 and the PM is a teacher at a high school. Both also get really bored at UN meetings. There is a video of Mark Rutte showing Willem-Alexander a video on his phone during a UN meeting.
During his time in office trump had a job as a Russian twitter troll ^^
