Jaylon Jones had 9 huge solo tackles and 1 ast. Credit to the coaches for having him ready to play yesterday. Also Olin’s my guy, but I don’t see him waiting all the way till Friday for that beer. Maybe waiting till Friday for that first case or case uno with just having Tall Boys get him. Now that I can “si”
I still have no expectations for the Bears this season. I'm enjoying it for what it is, an improving team winning against weaker football teams in the easiest part of their schedule. Poles has done a really nice job in the draft, and had mixed, but decent results from trades and FA signings. He needs another draft to upgrade the trenches in order for the Bears to consistently challenge for the playoffs. The Bears roster improvement was dramatically accelerated by the Texans winning the last meaningless game of a season on a hail Mary, leading to a lopsided trade with the Panthers, providing Poles with lots of extra draft capital. That's balanced by the NFC North becoming the best division in football, making it more difficult for the Bears to reach the playoffs. I still expect the Bears to win 8 or 9 games and just miss the playoffs this season, depending on player health within the division. If Poles continues his success in the draft and focuses on the trenches, particularly the offensive line, the Bears should make the playoffs next season, and hopefully each season after that for several years. I assume Poles will resign Darrell Taylor and Jack Sanborn unless they get starter money offers elsewhere, along with some other depth pieces. Tevin Jenkins is an interesting case. I'd guess he's not resigned at this point, unless his health and performance improve the rest of the season AND he doesn't get a starter value offer elsewhere. He'd be best as a backup where his availability won't be as big an issue. It'll be interesting to see whether he keeps or cuts Kevin Byard 31 years (7 million), Gerald Everett 30 years (5.5 million), and DeMarcus Walker 30 years (5.25 million) to get younger and save cap space. I assume Nate Davis 28 years (9.5 million) will be cut the day the season ends. I'm not sure what he sees in Velus Jones 27 years (1.44 million) and Dominique Robinson 26 years (1.1 million) at this point, but they aren't that expensive and he only has so many draft picks, so who knows? In the draft, Poles will need a replacement slot receiver for Keenan Allen, and a free safety successor to Kevin Byard. At least two offensive lineman, and either a DE or DT depending on best available. Hopefully, the Steelers pick for Fields turns into a 4th rounder. With 71+ million in cap space for 2025 currently, and the potential to add another 30 million with cuts, Poles has the Bears in very good cap shape.
Olin, big fan old enough to have watched your whole career. The Bears are playing better as a team - bad starts need to be overcome and the team playing for 60minutes is very important. They have only beaten teams that have one win each. The development of caleb is good to watch, so let's see the team build a stronger roster around him on both sides.
We will find out what the Bears are made when they play the Washington Commander's. if they beat Washington at home then I'll get excited. but right now they beat teams they was supposed to beat.
Outside of the chiefs, that "u only beat bad teams" line can be used vs most of the teams with winning records in the nfl. Most of the commanders wins have been vs teams that arent good, yet no one points that out, they just say Jayden daniels is a MVP. I do agree that we have major test comin up. Itll more so test our defense, but the defense struggles means the offense will have to play even better. Poles will make some trades IMHO, Cant wait to witness what's to come...!!!
Olin, good analysis! I know the 2006 Bear's would have been better off with an upstart Rookie like Caleb who progressing rapidly than the QB Rex Grossman.
Well I was really quite surprised by Olin's commentary. As a Oline man one would think he would be equally as complimentary to the Oline for the job they did allowing Caleb to play so well the last few weeks. On almost 90 % of the Sport shows commentary mostly were of praise for Caleb. So, when he has struggled it is the Oline's fault, but when he plays well, it is all his doing. What an inaccurate and disingenuous reporting on the Bears games. Bear Fan 65 years.
Just a thought, but I’d trust Olin is seeing things the average fan like yourself aren’t, regardless of if that has been 65 years of fandom. We play better defensive fronts, the issues Olin has identified will get exposed.
@@jroe25yt8 Understood Olin knows his Football. However, the point was he and the others on the Sport shows have not given the Oline much credit. It has been all about Williams. Whom ,once again his recent success has become as a direct result of the Oline' s mproved play. Regardless how you take the fact I mentioned I have been a fan for 65 years ,it does matter because I have seen more Bear football then most likely most of the people making comments. That's not to say I know more, but I have heard it all before........And my comment stands, there has not been enough credit given to the Oline.....enjoy the Williams uphroria for as much long as last ....Go Bears
Mully kinda worried for your health. Your having trouble with your speech and when drinking you coffee I see you moving your fingers on your chest as your drinking it.
Olin is a great interview
Looks like a different person, Olin is looking great.
Olin knows exactly what he is talking about centers are like quarterbacks.
Poles did a great job adding depth! Washington game is huge. We might be fighting with them for a playoff spot!
NFL helped us out .. get Caleb's wheels underneath him, and back load the schedule with the tough team's, hoping Caleb is hitting his stride
Olin is my favorite to listen to!!
He makes it so easy to understand
You just gotta love Olin.
Caleb is our guy
Caleb is the real deal.Hes a rookie beating up on vets

Although Jaylon Jones did get picked on allowing over a 100 passer rating against
Great analysis 🎉🎉
Olin should be on the bears coaching staff
Yeah but than we don't get to hear him talk like this lol.
That's exactly why Olin needs to be in the building..
It will take me a while not to be salty, but I'm happy. I often relate to Kreutz

Funny how "coincidentally" Swift got better with changes on o‐line

Kreutz is the BEST BEARS analyst!
Ogbongbemiga is probably one of my favorite sleepers on this roster.
I love that group! Lol

When you need the right answer just ask a HOF player at the position. They know how its supposed to look every time. We Up Bear Don
Love you guys but the connection issues make this really hard to listen to
I feel the exact same
Imagine when they start scoring in the first quarter
