I wore a full-face helmet once when I was younger, I fell asleep somewhere in Barstow and woke up in Yermo after running over the grooves on the side of the Hwy 15.
I ordered black grips from Lowbrow and received red ones. I sent an email with the page saying black grips and a pic of the red ones. They immediately sent black grips (yes they have regular black ones) and said to keep the red ones for a future project or buddies bike. Just let them know and they will take care of you. They are good guys at Lowbrow. You should ride to Ohio for the Lowbrow Getdown. Get some real miles on those bikes. Lol
He is talking primary tensioners. I'm talking cam chain tensioners. 99-06 twincams have plastic tension i have pictures of mine I took out. They go at roughly around 30k and when they go they have the potential of sending plastic chunks through the motor and oil pump causing catastrophic failure. There is stuff on it everywhere not hard to find at all. Cheap insurance to check it and upgrade it will be much cheaper than rebuilding an engine that does jot need a rebuild.
1st thing I did when I bought my old big twin 88, was to check the Cam-Chain tensioners, there's an inner and an outer. it's real ez to do. I'd explain how to do it, but there's a lot of videos on RUclips already. Just beware, if one of them goes, it will grenade your motors insides and a new one will be needed. If you do check it, make sure you have a cam cover gasket, just in case its bad, i was able to reuse mine.
Timing chain tensioner time to check it I've got the kit from fueling almost $800 not ride it again without checking it it'll suck that nylon plastic all through your engine and grenade it
Get a stethoscope for motorcycles , you can listen for internal sounds, I’m sure a shop did that but you can listen and than compare sounds to give you an idea of what’s happening internally.
The red fat boy have hydraulic cam tensioners and they are deathless not like in the 88 twin cam, i think that maybe one of the lifters is ticking like this or something in the rockerbox's, can't hear that on camera. But the 88 twin cam is having cam tensioners problems after 30,000 miles+. The red fatboy can also have compensator problem but it would be hard to turn it on and it wouldnt be ticking like this, hope I could help you guys a little bit!
My mouth waters every time you show these burgers… So I just locked in Riverbed Bums to cater the holiday party for shop I manage!!! 🍔🤤😜🤘🏼

Cyclo make good quality tensioner replacements, or if crank runout is less than 3 thou go gear drive.

When Justin had all his wires hanging and he still drove it down the block. He got lucky when he found his part at Sporty’s. What were the chances.
