La Masia kids are much better at holding up play, progressing the ball and creating danger unlike the first team who can't even pass without giving the ball away and losses every time they get pressed

Jamie, can you talk about Fermin and his performances in the Olympics? He has been sensational and scoring some incredible goals, but you've barely said a word. How does Dani Olmo effect Fermin's future? He is on fire! I don't want to see him rot on the bench now.
If lopez play 50 plus matches after the olympics and everything he'll be next pedri yes there is gundo but he'll be leaving next summer and pedri is injury prone so i think olmo is a great deal
fermin will get chance, but as a substitute. I think that's a very good thing for him. 1 season like this. then next season maybe if gundo goes he'll be more involved
My assessment on flick so far 1. Flick's setup usually starts with a 4-2-3-1 formation. During buildup, it spreads to a wide 4-2-3-1 with fullbacks staying wide. In midfield, it shifts to a 3-5-2, with one pivot player pushing forward to connect with attackers or hold play while fullbacks get into position. In the final third, it becomes a 2-3-5, with both fullbacks advanced, three attackers in the box, and 2-3 midfielders near the touchline for rebounds and to challenge the defense. Flick focuses on moving the ball vertically through the middle, using low-driven passes to forwards. These forwards then quickly pass to the attacking midfielder to start an attack, with at least three players making runs behind the defense. This makes it difficult for opponents to man-mark all the attackers in the box. We saw this strategy work with Pablo Torre’s goal against Man City and many chances created by the attacking midfielder in the first two games. Opponents often counter by pulling their fullbacks inward for more central defense, which opens up space on the flanks. This allows fullbacks to make quick crosses to the attackers in the box. This approach has already led to multiple goals, with Alex Valle contributing three assists and creating many chances. 2. In defense, Flick uses a tight 4-4-2 formation with a high line and a coordinated press. The press often starts when the ball goes to an opposing fullback. This strategy puts intense pressure on the opponents, aiming to win the ball back quickly, force a clearance, or draw a foul right after losing possession. This style of play is both interesting and entertaining to watch, but it also presents some issues that need to be addressed early on. Firstly, the intensity and players' willingness to maintain this for a full 90 minutes is crucial, especially for older players who are used to a more passive defensive role. For example, in the match against AC Milan, Gundogan and Lewandowski struggled with pressing effectively, giving the opposition time to pick out passes and break through. These players might be too old or not accustomed to this playing style. Secondly, there’s the issue of playing style and squad depth. Based on recent games, it’s clear that the system relies on attacking full-backs who can cross and defend, three central forwards who link up quickly and get into the box, an aggressive pivot who can cover turnovers and play the ball out from the back, and a team that presses collectively. For Barcelona to compete for every title, we need two capable players in each position to handle injuries and suspensions. Finally, compromise is necessary. Some players may see reduced time or switch positions due to the playing style. Players like Gundogan and Fermin might see less action, particularly in big games, due to their defensive shortcomings. Olmo, being a more complete player, is likely to get more minutes. Meanwhile, Yamal, Lewandowski, and Frenkie will need to work extra hard to maintain their spots in the starting eleven, given the strong performances from Alex Valle, Pau Victor, and Marc Bernal. In conclusion, Barcelona has the potential to challenge for all titles this season. Their performance on tour highlights their teamwork, and with players like Yamal, Olmo, Gavi, and Pedri returning, fans are excited for the new season. While they might not win everything, the squad depth and new mentality make them a formidable force.
I liked how Pau Victor wasn't greedy and passed the ball to Lewandowski in the goal. That play itself is enough to convince me he is a generational talent. He doesn't play for himself, he plays for the team. Sadly though, there are players who play for themselves like Raphinha.

@@eL--RaLit’s sad to say. Roque was my favorite when he came after yamal. But sadly he can only shoot and run. Too many big touches and can’t really pass. Pau is just perfectly polished
My assessment from the game against AC Milan: Lewandowski and Pau Victor can play together as pair strikers when we’re in possession and attacking the ball. They both combine well and I would like the chemistry to keep getting better. Raphina wasn’t very productive from the left. He was better from the middle and more dangerous when he switched to the right Gundogan should NOT be asked to play as a 10 again please, especially now that we have many options in that area. He can pass the ball very well but he wasn’t taking chances to shoot. So he can be more productive maybe behind the number 10. Casado was brilliant. Good movement. Lenglet should not be in that defence anymore. He has nothing more to offer.
That first goal from Lewy was very good. Those 2 goals from AC Milan show that Barca defense needs some work. Raphinha is very good, his run in behind etc. But his final decision is not always good.
Forget about Nico, because it’s gonna cost a lot of money, instead buy: Chiesa, Mitoma or Coman…We need to have players that would love to play for Barca. Simple like that
I love how Flick set up. The wingers comes inside more than Xavis team allowing full backs to exploit those spaces. I'm already excited to see Yamal, Olmo in that set up. Raphinha played a good game and could hv scored more goals. I think he also struggled on the LW so flick pushed him to 10 behind Lewy and he thrived there. We have more players that are versatile and that gives me hope
Olmo will be our Sergi Roberto Utility Player upgrade. However Pau Vitor's constant movement and involvement give Lewa more room to operate & a body to bounce passes off.
🇹🇹 Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹 Barca Forever!!!! Dani Olmo: Pedri got injured & he came in & Spain's football was still top quality & he contributed in every aspect of the principles of the 'Beautiful Game. Unpredictable & could be even greater with what we've seen in his game & coach Hansi's football philosophy or tactics. Nico or Athleti posted him in training so it seems as if we wont be getting him. There shouldve been a deadline long ago so we could look for alternatives
You’re right that the deal for Nico Williams might not happen, but we can’t be entirely sure whether Barcelona is looking for alternatives or not. The club has been keeping information under wraps lately, which is actually a positive sign. So, while we might not know the full picture, it's possible that they are exploring other options quietly. And honestly, they don't look very worried :)
We need to start asking questions about Ter Stegen honestly. He's never been very reliable when the lights are the very brightest (anfield, rome, 8-2, Lisbon) and just like in the Milan game, he just froze for that 2nd goal. Tight angle, near post shot, he just freezes and puts his right hand up, doesnt even try to save the ball. We saw the same against PSG in the first leg when dembele scored that goal. For his wage, experience and expectations and especially for this club, he HAS TO DO BETTER or leave.
I think Flick must have approved Olmo deal, cos 90 min pressing and relentless attack are gonna drain players. And our players are injury prone so every position will likely need a rotation. One thing for sure we're gonna concede quite a lot. Anyway pre season looks good.
The team's got a lot of potential really, as far as the Nico deal let's just move on the deal ain't gonna happen let's work with what's there and get back to the glory days...
the one thing I see not mentioned in our squad is the fluid formation. We saw it quite a bit at the end of the season where Raphina thrived and it was happening a lot in the second half of this game that had Milan not knowing whatt to do. Raphina, Pau Vitor, and Lewandoski were constantly swapping positions, like almost every time they pressed without the ball they ended up in different position and just picked up right where they were when they turned over possession. Lewa sometimes was on the right sometimes on the left, Pau was in the middle at times, an others it was raphia. Raphina and Lewa would drop deep every now and again. It was actually very interesting and surprised no one is talking about this. We all seem to be glued to fixed positions for 90 minutes and a system and who should be bought on the basis on where they can play for 90 minutes where when what I'm watching is these guys constantly changing their positions on on the fly. Yes there is a formation but who plays where is fluid through the game or even through a single 30-45 minutes. MSN did something similar through the years within games moving around in a single game. Even in the midfield with the academy kids I saw it. Could this fluid, systemless approach have some merit? at least against certain teams.
First of all, Thank you my friend for your relentless effort to keep us updated .❤ It‘s crazy how many new talents are coming up from LaMasia. I hope and dream that we might witness the birth of a new golden generation. I’m not so convinced for the Signing of Olmo (he is great, don’t get me wrong) but i hope it doesn‘t effect the progression of Fermin , that boy is special.
Casado struggled with Christiansen but Bernal is another 1 to watch out for. He brings the best out of whoever is next to him. He gives freedom for Casado to exploit those spaces
Casado is going to be huge and I think he and Bernal are made for each other, just like Busi and Xavi. Torre can play the Iniesta role too. this should be our understudy mf for the future. they should start some games together his new season to build chemistry
No more chasing after players that are unresponsive to Barca or are cryptic in their statements… we are HISTORIC and Barca is ALWAYS History in the making… the truly great players start off by having a great heart and a great soul and are very deliberate in their intention and desire to come and play for this club and they SAY IT, and then they DO IT! No more chasing after players who won’t say it DEFINITIVELY… and instead will create a lot of drama for the media to follow. We don’t need them. We’ve got our squad. Let’s roll!
Am I the only one seeing for the second game in a row, victor roque being annoyed/not getting on with some of the team? Against Madrid, in the wall he was almost shoving off his teammate who was trying to tell him to move which was what pena was telling him to do. And then yesterday he’s seen arguing with the staff, Thiago I think. I get you might be frustrated in general but that’s not showing me a player that has a good attitude for the team, and more and more ok with me if he goes along with his performances and the options we have.
I am sure several players will shine under Flick, but I’d like to see Fati’s comeback the most. I know he is not same anymore, but we all know how good he was. He is just 20 and still have several years to develop.
Jamie, I'm with you bro. Infact me and you and Barca are together. We believe we can still sign Nico. You didnt mention it but I know thats what you believe 😂
They have to have a solid reason why they didn’t give up….remember we not sure if it is a case where Nico is actually waiting on Barca….strong feeling things r cooking behind the scenes…..We need Nico and I see no other gettable alternative on the market right now
I have been saying that Barca don’t need to make a ton of signings just promote from the academy. You can tell players who come from elsewhere don’t fit in well or live up to expectations to the system. The only players who should be bought are for players that you have absolutely no solution for
Pau victor needs to get as much game time as possible. He is so good with the ball and without the ball. He has great sense of space and takes big strides with strength with getting the ball. He can have a good history here
Olmo is a top top player. Him and pedri as a duo will tear the league up next season. Just you watch! Imagine if we got Chiesa for €20 million, that would be dream
I love Raphina and his quality and mentality. He should be VERY regular in the starting 11 or coming in later. We still don't understand the value of Raphina. It's good Yamal and others were not in preseason, so we could try out systems and lineups without them. Now we see even lewa and victor playing well together. Maybe Nico Williams not coming is a blessing in disguise. We could play the left flank with Raphina, Ansu and others Let's save the money for later. We might need it for an emergency signing or a super signing opportunity in the winter transfer window. If Williams does come, uraaaa!! If not, I'm fine with it. We are Barca, remember???!!! Visca!!! 💜💙💜
Nico is done for this summer, maybe next year if he remains at 60M. But for now I'd love to see Félix return. Félix actually wants to be with us, and had a very similar season to Nico contribution wise, so let's talk to Atleti 🤷♂️(João celebration).
Bernal came in for Gundogan and we played better. I feel like the Duo of Casado and Bernal should be starting a lot of games for us, they give us stability
If we don’t get Nico this summer than our transfer summer was not a succes at al. As a matter of fact it was a failure, since we still have the likes of Garcia, Ferran and Lenglet in our squad.
At first i thought that the olmo deal isnt needed but lets keep in mind last season de jong pedri are getting injured way too much sadly but thats the truth you cant take them into consideration we played gundu almost every game olmo can pass can shoot and can cross he is in his prime age with a good confidence boost due to the euros and honestly him over pedri in the national team was really good outcome
Under Flick, Gundogan better step up his pressing game. There were a few times Gundogan's lazy press let Milan counter because he wasn't where he was supposed to be. Dani Olmo might take his spot. Assuming pedri keeps getting injured (hopefully not).

Koeman on a free and we're not even looking into that??!! Absolutely mental!!!
You mean coman
Yes indeed that would be a perfect signing for the moment
Last 3yrs his injuries have increased
Chiesa for 15m is more than a bargain
VISCA Barca ❤
Always waiting as usual

My assessment from the game against AC Milan:
Lewandowski and Pau Victor can play together as pair strikers when we’re in possession and attacking the ball. They both combine well and I would like the chemistry to keep getting better.
Raphina wasn’t very productive from the left. He was better from the middle and more dangerous when he switched to the right
Gundogan should NOT be asked to play as a 10 again please, especially now that we have many options in that area. He can pass the ball very well but he wasn’t taking chances to shoot. So he can be more productive maybe behind the number 10.
Casado was brilliant. Good movement.
Lenglet should not be in that defence anymore. He has nothing more to offer.
Pau victor has suarez characteristics
The comment I’m looking for
Real talk so...
That first goal from Lewy was very good.
Those 2 goals from AC Milan show that Barca defense needs some work.
Raphinha is very good, his run in behind etc. But his final decision is not always good.
Yes I was happy for Lewadonski he to boost his confidence
Forget about Nico, because it’s gonna cost a lot of money, instead buy: Chiesa, Mitoma or Coman…We need to have players that would love to play for Barca. Simple like that
Barca and injury prone players aren’t the best combo
Chiesa knees are gone
Time to have a good season ❤💙
Don't think Nico will put a message like that out then leave, that's his childhood team and his whole family works there.
Just woke up and I see a talkfcb video what a way to start the day
I love how Flick set up.
He has basically always thrives in a 10. Don’t know why our coaches don’t just fit him in there or give him a free role.
Thank you for the amazing consist Barca news
Visca Barca ❤️💛
Olmo will be our Sergi Roberto Utility Player upgrade. However Pau Vitor's constant movement and involvement give Lewa more room to operate & a body to bounce passes off.
Thanks very much jamie for the time and effort 👌
The combination between Lewa and Pau was on point

Barca Forever!!!!
Dani Olmo: Pedri got injured & he came in & Spain's football was still top quality & he contributed in every aspect of the principles of the 'Beautiful Game. Defensively, positionally, versatility in attack & GOALS.
La Masia with European & International high level experience & Triumph.
Unpredictable & could be even greater with what we've seen in his game & coach Hansi's football philosophy or tactics.
We want to win titles & compete but we only just saw Lamine rock the football world. Imagine who could be next or how great the collective can possibly be.
Barca fans, we're a spoiled bunch because we've witnessed football fantasy in teams & players & many titles as a generation but be patient & embrace the present & to come.
WE WANT EVERY POSSIBLE TITLE!
Win, Draw or even a Loss but More Wins than losses, FACTS, BARCA FOREVER!!!!!!
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Enjoy the videos always! 💯
We did it to coutinho and Grizieman and it didn't work playing them in a position were they cannot play
Our good friend clement lenget had a fantastic game yesterday wink wink.
😂
The more I see pau play the more I realize we definitely don’t need Vitor roque.
LEWANDOSKY SHOULD CONTINUE THAT WAY 🎉❤
Honestly, I've always loved the idea of Chiesa in Barca. If he manages to stay injury free, we'll definitely enjoy him.
We need to talk about the decline of MATS, it’s becoming very concerning
Welcome back home olmo, Paul vitro is a very good player, I like the way he plays.
The boy is gamer he can deliver
Atleast someone talking about it
I see what you're saying but if not Ter Stegen, who else?
Straight out off Barbados nice work
Thanks
I think Flick must have approved Olmo deal, cos 90 min pressing and relentless attack are gonna drain players. And our players are injury prone so every position will likely need a rotation. One thing for sure we're gonna concede quite a lot. Anyway pre season looks good.
The team's got a lot of potential really, as far as the Nico deal let's just move on the deal ain't gonna happen let's work with what's there and get back to the glory days...
If we don't sign Nico, I think we should play Pau victor on the left, Lamine on the right and Dani olmo in the middle.
I was thinking the same thing. We should try pau on the LW on Monday
the one thing I see not mentioned in our squad is the fluid formation.
Gerard Romero says the Nico saga not over yet....interesting.
Great job on all the news everyday Jamie
OH MY GOD
I LOVE KINGSLEY COMAN
VERY VIBRANT PLAYER , PLAYING DIFFERENT ROLES ❤💙
First of all, Thank you my friend for your relentless effort to keep us updated .❤
It‘s crazy how many new talents are coming up from LaMasia. I hope and dream that we might witness the birth of a new golden generation.
I’m not so convinced for the Signing of Olmo (he is great, don’t get me wrong) but i hope it doesn‘t effect the progression of Fermin , that boy is special.
I like the guy Olmo,I pray he should be free on injury, you watch this guy in Spain team his excellent
Lol how didn't you get that he's staying from what he said?? It's obvious the Nico deal is dead.
4:30 fun fact: only 11 players from each team are allowed to be on the field in a football match.
Jamie is on denial😅😅😅
Accept it brother, Nico is not coming. I am heartbroken by this gloomy end as well
I can’t see why he would have returned to training at Bilbao if he was planning on coming to Barça.
Casado struggled with Christiansen but Bernal is another 1 to watch out for. He brings the best out of whoever is next to him. He gives freedom for Casado to exploit those spaces
I honestly believed hoping for Nico to still come at Barca is a fairytale hopes😅.., @talkfcb
Someone would need to leave for sure, they will need the money
Casado is going to be huge and I think he and Bernal are made for each other, just like Busi and Xavi. Torre can play the Iniesta role too. this should be our understudy mf for the future. they should start some games together his new season to build chemistry
PLEASE NO MORE .REASON MESSI LEFT BARCA WERE SERGI ROBERTO/TER STERGEN/PIQUE AND HOW DID BARCA COPE WE ECAME LAUGHING STOCK.
Casado and Bernal have solved our DM problems.. They're 2 gems
What happens to pedri and Gavi?
@@kizitoonyeodi9667 Biggest Pedri fan but i can no longer rely on him. Too fragile
@@kizitoonyeodi9667 Casado better than Gavi on the ball. Gavi is more aggressive tho
Love from the Gambia 🇬🇲 Barcelona in my DNA🧬 💙❤️💯
Same to me down here in The Gambia
“50 seconds ago” never been this early 🙌🏽
How good was Casado against Milan? Really liked his style of play and movement!
Let’s roll!
Niko deal is still possible 🎉❤
It's true what Hansi Flick said, for us to score one or two and stop attacking is something we used to do. But that is not the Barça way.
I believe Barcelona signed olmo cause he already has a connection with pedri,Torres, lamine so it would be faster to adapt and connect with all players
Sorry Jamie. We not signing him this summer😂😂😂
Jamie, I'm with you bro. Infact me and you and Barca are together. We believe we can still sign Nico. You didnt mention it but I know thats what you believe 😂
They have to have a solid reason why they didn’t give up….remember we not sure if it is a case where Nico is actually waiting on Barca….strong feeling things r cooking behind the scenes…..We need Nico and I see no other gettable alternative on the market right now
If Nico Williams does not work out then we should probably take a very good look at Barcola from PSG.
PSG ??? They won’t do us any favours brother. They hate us plus Luis Enrique loves the player even more so they need a LW after Mbappe left
Oh psg hate Barca and I'm sure they won't let barcola go
Let's assuming we have money I like Rafael leao
Y’all saying Barca don’t need Olmo, I hope he makes u eat up your words by end of next season. Visca Barca!❤
He will make them eat their words
I have been saying that Barca don’t need to make a ton of signings just promote from the academy.
You can tell players who come from elsewhere don’t fit in well or live up to expectations to the system.
The only players who should be bought are for players that you have absolutely no solution for
enjoyed the thirsty of raphinha ...that is the mind that is needed for all strikers
Jamie, truth be told, this signing is off. We have good players we could used but let's hope he performs. Thanks for the back to back update
Pau victor needs to get as much game time as possible. He is so good with the ball and without the ball. He has great sense of space and takes big strides with strength with getting the ball. He can have a good history here
He's already a 1st team player bruh don't worry 😂
The only thing that is holding Raphinha back is his hesitation to make quick decisions. Either dribbling, shooting and sometimes passing the ball
Ngl Vitor penny was classic so composed
Olmo is a top top player. Him and pedri as a duo will tear the league up next season. Just you watch!
Imagine if we got Chiesa for €20 million, that would be dream
I love Raphina and his quality and mentality. He should be VERY regular in the starting 11 or coming in later. We still don't understand the value of Raphina.
It's good Yamal and others were not in preseason, so we could try out systems and lineups without them. Now we see even lewa and victor playing well together.
Maybe Nico Williams not coming is a blessing in disguise. We could play the left flank with Raphina, Ansu and others
Let's save the money for later.
" Olmo being deployed in various positions " yeah we might uh... Of signed ourselves a winger here
At first i thought that the olmo deal isnt needed but lets keep in mind last season de jong pedri are getting injured way too much sadly but thats the truth you cant take them into consideration we played gundu almost every game olmo can pass can shoot and can cross he is in his prime age with a good confidence boost due to the euros and honestly him over pedri in the national team was really good outcome
Can't wait for the new season to start ❤
Thank you Jamie ......🩵🩷 what I think .... When did Laporta EVER do anything in silence 🤣
Under Flick, Gundogan better step up his pressing game. There were a few times Gundogan's lazy press let Milan counter because he wasn't where he was supposed to be. Dani Olmo might take his spot. Assuming pedri keeps getting injured (hopefully not).
We dont need a CDM because Flick uses a double pivot, we have many great options for a double pivot
