Don't speak to the govenment. Speak to the criminals who are committing the crimes! Speak to the people who are protecting the criminals because criminals put a bit of food in their pockets.
Unpopular opinion, Jamaica needs a system that eliminates poverty, Jamaica only has 2.7 million people, yet attracts approx 4 million tourists every year. Revenue earned from tourism sits at around 3.7 Billion USD, (2022 figure) why doesn't the government put almost everyone to work in the tourism industry? Instead of importing everything start manufacturing & growing food again... where are these huge profits going??
More people need to pray to God, Jah to protect their family, friends and strangers. And for people who believe in Angels, praying to the arch angels for protection, guidance, clarity. The four arch angels are: Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, Raphael.

After that, identify what the desired values are, then have a conversation about what the actual current values are based on the state of the country and outcomes. Then get consensus to fix it. That is how this gets fixed long term.

If I should start with countries that have a lot less crime than Jamaica, let's see: Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Japan, Singapore, and China, just to name a few. And there are places in the US that are safer than Jamaica, like most of the eastern areas of Massachusetts, and New Hampshire, just to name a few. I am moving to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and the chances of crime happening there are very, very small, I can tell you that. So yes, many places are safer than Jamaica
Government can’t be everywhere. . Talk to the enabling parents and the people who are sending money to buy weapons. .. Why don’t you talk about all the shooting in Canada and the crime. .. It’s mostly because of immigrants. .. Canada use to be safe. ..Plz don’t exclude Canada let them know how crime is bad in Canada. Shootings , murder , car stealing and jacking , stabbing and home invasions. .. It’s not Jamaica alone have crime. . Look at America. !
