I always put cap back on before pumping the brake pedal to avoid sucking air in, but on your video, you pump it first. Have you got it slightly wrong, or am i wrong even though I've done my way all fine on all my car's. Also, are you not meant to release handbrake before winding calliper in on the rear. Maybe you can do it both ways and have the same outcome
Does the 2 little holes in the piston in caliper have to line up with the lugs on the new inner brake pad do you know ? i done mine but handbrake seems to be loads of clicks now than previous before i done them thanks.
Great video, I did mine at -2 °c. In the road ,on my back, but different than your video..
Well done!

Yes, the holes in the piston must align with the lugs on the pad backing plate - see 3'18"
@@HaynesManuals thanks mate
Can you undo bottom bolt and swivel calaiper up like the front brake pads ? instead of the top bolt of caliper.
Try it. As long as you don't damage the flexible brake hose...
@@HaynesManuals i just seen a bloke do it on another youtube video thats all, that is why asked.
How come no Haynes repair manual for the 2008 first generation Hyundai Genesis?
We stopped generating new Haynes manuals in 2020. Have a look at our AutoFix guides instead!
