You have great taste, I love Spiritual State! Yeah absolutely. I have a list of Nujabes covers I want to create and that one's definitely on it! I may need to get a piano player involved for that one 😸 Any other Nujabes tracks that you really love?
Here's what I listened to most over the last decade: Nujabes: - Spiritual State (by far) - Lady Brown - Luv(sic) Part 2 - Shiki no Uta Also Uyama Hiroto: - Homeward Journey (The best is probably the one from the documentary from "Eternal Soul") - Color of Jade - In the Sea - Vision Eyes - South Side
Amazing cover! Would you have the sheet music for the alto sax by any chance? I've been looking for sheet music of Lady Brown for really long, but I haven't been desperate enough to transpose any existing scores because I'm low on money. I'd really appreciate it! And again, this cover was really well done 👍🏾
Hey friend, appreciate the kind words! So we didn't use sheet music (we figured it out by ear) but I can provide the chords. The key is C major / E minor. Section A: Cmaj7 - Bmin7 - Emin7 - Amin7 Amin7 - Dmaj - D#dim Section B: Cmaj7 - Bmin7 - Emin7 - Amin7 Cmin7 - Amin7 - G#maj7 - B7b13 Hope that helps! I know it might be intimidating figuring out the melody by ear, but try taking it slow. You can definitely do it and it will make you a better musician. Good luck!
@mikewumusic Thank you so much! I've been kinda putting it off recently, though I do learn many songs by ear as well. I slowed down on it and started making (readable) scuffed scores myself like Luv(sic) Grand Finale, Think Different, the Huey vs Riley soundtrack from The Boondocks, Omerta Bossa by Isabelle Antena, and a couple more, because I couldn't fully memorize 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 I wanted to. But, the key does help, so thank you for that. Again, great playing, and thanks for the help!
@@BalIsDeep69 Of course man! Those are great tunes. Hope to see some covers from you as well soon :) Btw I just thought of something else. If you have trouble remembering your transcription, it helps to record it, even if it's just with voice memo, that way you can jog your memory in the future when you come back to it. I forget how to play stuff all the time but if I have a video or audio recording it comes back so much faster.
@mikewumusic Not going to lie, I probably should've thought of that at first haha. Thanks for the advice! And who knows, maybe I will do some covers in the future. Whether that's soon or not, I'm not sure. But I don't see why not haha.
