I totally agree over pre mot checks some garages in the 70s used to provide pre mot checks for a price of course. Also your Dad would have also checked your brake pipes visually so well done for standing your ground l always even on a service plug in my seat belts and ensure every thing is ok l clean and vacuum everything out it’s personal choice and it’s better if you sell your car with no advisory mots your dads a credit to is profession.
Jon and Pete, these videos are always entertaining and informative. The humour and banter is always that of genuine good honest folk. Pete's knowledge and skill knows no bounds and with Jon's overall guidance to keep things on track I chuckle my way through each programme. Great job both, keep up the good work.
Well I was struggling with any worthwhile comment here, but I was glad to hear that you mentioned someone in one of the videos asked whether the camber could be adjusted. It was me me me, glad you didn't forget, even if you did forget it was me ! Love both your Smarts. What, no Botox for your dad ? Makes a lovely Christmas present, and it's not as painful as lip fillers. 😷🤪
Ah brilliant. Thanks for your question. We get so many and film so much stuff it's hard to remember who asked what sometimes but does prove I read and try to respond to every comment 😂
Hi Guys Water in the boot is because of failure of the rubber rear wiper seal There are videos about this common fault, it's cheap as chips to do and well within Dad's capacity as a mechanic to do. No damp interior again ❤
Well done Jon and Pete another great video and I think it’s essential that you do mot pre checks and I used to do them on mine it was peace of mind to be honest and often concurred with what inspector said Love the purple smart the colour really shows it off all the best to you all Daniel
Brilliant guys love the ,Smart .. best car for me 👌..... and your dad's so right about the government. Work hard, get nothing, and don't live too long 😄
Pre MOT checks make sense to me, reduces the chances of nasty surprises and then having to rush around fixing them in time for the recheck ( I assume there is a time limit for the free recheck).
That’s a nice colour combo, I always thought the early smarts for a bit more character to them . A common issue on them is the bonding on the bottom of the windscreen failing, quite hard to spot but it will leak a small amount of water onto the Sam unit 🤦♂️
Here in Croatia the MoT stations are government operated and don't do repairs. I do check the car over before I take it and so far it has never failed. It is similar to the UK test but only takes about 15 minutes so there may be fewer test items. I did consider a Smart at one time but a lot of adverts said things like "new engine fitted", which put me off.
The original factory exhausts on a Fiat 500 are massively more solid than normal trade replacements... I tend to favour Klarius personally. I think Carpartsinmotion are part of the massive Automotive Alliance Group who are buying up all the UK independent motor factor groups and selling NAPA branded stuff everywhere.
Even if you cant do a full pre MOT yourself, at least check the lights, wipers, washers and tyres.. There are people who treat the MOT as a fix whats wrong list after never touching the car all year and driving about with 3 blown bulbs for 5 months

I was working at a warehouse which has 10s of smart cars. Thought of your channel while there, and I come home to a Smart Video

Absolutely! I reckon it's 14 days

Interesting. Sadly a relatively new windscreen so fingers crossed nice and waterproof

I think you might be right! We've so far not had any problems 😊👍
I had subtitles on (for some reason) and when dad turned the wash wiper on it said [Music]
😂 *techno*

Absolutely! Basic motoring right?!
If you put an inspector face on your woolly hats and they’d sell. Probably to the doggy walkers.
Yes I agree 🤣
22:34 but i still miss Bruce
This is the original Inspector but Bruce will be back in the new year I promise
" i n s p e c t i n g , d e t e c t i n g " 🧐
Yup! 😊
