MLK Day 2010

On January 18, 2010, KEYS Service Corps, an AmeriCorps program, hosted the largest and most successful MLK Day of Service event in the history of our program. 275 AmeriCorps members & volunteers generated 1000 hours of service at 25 sites in WIlkinsburg, PA.
We weatherized homes, painted community spaces, collected countless bags of trash, cleaned up litter, recycled illegally dumped tires, decoratively painted boards that will be used to board up abandoned buildings, and reclaimed 75 bicycles that will be renovated and donated to a community organization.
