I have the same B200 CDI car with CVT, but I noticed that the car you tested has a thermostat problem, because the temperature is fixed at 75°C the whole time you have been at 200km/h. (I changed the thermostat precisely for this problem and after about 10min walking with the car it rises to 90°C) Another thing I noticed in the video is that you drive with the AC on and this cuts power to the engine. I really appreciate that you made this video about such an old car like this. So great to see your video
For 1000km+ at a time? Sure not, not a e Class... Seats are too short and spring comfort a boot too harsh, rest is top B150 Manual with 60k km for cheap now at 170.000km with zero issues, I like the T245/W169 platform
@@Street911 then your body is small and you have never drive C-Class/E-Class/VW Passat/Golf... W169 and T245 are both harsh stiffness and seats are bad
@@MoesKeckeEcke The seats of clio 5 is very bad for this price and yes, I have 2 E class (E270 2004 and E320) but the question is « is it possible to do 1000km with B180 » I say yes 😃 some friends do 3000km with Peugeot 206 😭😂
@@Street911 I drove both Volvo XC90 and B180cdi (with 530k km) in parallel as I am 190cm, none of them was adequate but both of them did it. So no problem with B klasse
Thnx for the video, looks good. I am thinking of buying the same car. I had my doubts about the automatic cvt gear, what is your opinion or experience with it? Or anything to look for before buying one?
Take before 2007 or after 2011, because 2007-2011 the gearbox is lazy (7Gtronic full problem up to 2011) B200 maintenance is expensive (little) than other (Renault, Peugeot..) but the quality is here :) Take with 100-170 000km maximum and you’re good for 4-5 years 😁
I have same year model, manual 6 speed, 2.0L diesel, chiptune - erg valve delete, flaps delete, 170hp. 325k, engine was opened and refurbished at 240k. Complete ne suspension, pretty much all boltons, much of the front steering assembly.. Car runs like new. And it's definitely NOT as slugish as this one. It looks like it barely has 110hp. Even less. Yikes
@Blaž Bohinc Which chip did you use and how much was the cost of the overall mod? How is the fuel economy? Now I have a manual as well from '06 with 230k on the clock, on highway I still manage 4.5 l and urban is around 7. I want to know if I should sell it while they still hold some value or update it and keep it for few more years as its quite a good car.
@@Gasmaska69 I did a complete ECU remap, a company from Germany sells them.. 500€. Loads on the stock ECU, no bypass needed. Map is made to have better fuel economy at lower laod levels and more power at higher load levels. In winter city driving, I get about 6.5 to 7.0 L, highway with a warm engine about 5.8 liters at 130km/h (winter tyres, about 5.4L in the summer). Low 4L with summer tyres at speed between 60-90km/h. I've done 3.6L passes with this tune, distances upwards of 50km. It makes power all the way to redline, I've gone 220km/h with it. It's important to note that the engine has been really well maintained, quality oil and filters every 15k km, quality fuel, no redline with cold engine, lighter flywheel put on, regular checkups.. B180 has same engine as B200. B200 is 105kW, 140hp. Mine is between 170-175. Loads more torque, sharper throttle response.. I'm doing complete sound insulation next year, it's the only thing that it needs, since the engine is so close to the driver and doors aren't very well insulated. Otherwise, a perfect car. It'll be tough to say goodbye when the time comes. The car is worthless to sell, better to keep it. I've invested more than I'll ever get back, so I'll just drive it for another 150k..
@@blazbohinc4964 Thanks for the info Blazh. I need to see if there is someone in Macedonia doing these remaps for a reasonable price. I bought it second hand 4 years ago, always top quality oil for cars with DPF and filters on 10k kms or 1 year, but since then I changed almost all front suspension (links etc.) and only thing that scares me a bit is the rust on the doors.
