I remember when I was in the Marine Corps, there were a few that were married when they joined, might be different for pilots. Personally, I don't think married people should be allowed to join the military at all, and first term military members shouldn't be allowed to get married.
Where do you think Japan got the anime style? IIRC anime was strongly influenced by American animated films that were brought in during the occupation.
