New Song View Features
- Deck MIDI information now displays in Scene Clips
- Scene Clips can now be resized, truncated and split by ; Dragging the Clip start/end points, Right-clicking and selecting 'Split to New Clip' (or CMND + E), or Dragging Clips on top of each other.
- Song View can be zoomed with the Mac Trackpad 'pinch' gesture or by holding the CMND
key and using a mouse scroll wheel
- The Song View anchor can now be set at any currently visible Song View Grid position,
rather than limited to 1 beat increments.
Changes
• Fixed an issue where starting arrangement playback part way through a scene doesn't pick up automation
• Fixed an issue where when sending a licensing request to a Serato server
• Fixed an issue where a logged-in user has a combination of expired and valid licenses, and the license server has a problem, SDJ accidentally deletes the user's licenses
• Progress is now displayed when rescanning file information
• Audio Clips in Song View are no longer greyed out at very small lengths

Serato continues to get better, I made the switch from mpc beats a few years ago…I’m so glad I did, the workflow is so much easier, keeping the creative workflow!

To all my viewers if there is something I’ve missed you need to clarify to get you creating faster let me know. It really does help me in helping others
Why can’t Mac move the packs with out it not reading right I tried to move and relocate and they won’t pick up the sounds or patterns or drum kits
I’ve heard of some having that issue and I’ve run into it at times what I’ve tried to do is try to really consolidate where I keep all my files because I have run into where I will do relocate and it won’t properly scan to update the new file path. I’m hoping they get that sorted out a bit better.
Can you move midi with the arrow keys now? Instead of dragging the notes with mouse🤦🏾♂️Like Ableton

Hi , Has Anyone had This Issue? When i Save and Close a Project , and re open it , the Tune Changes on the Sample? I have even exported a project and the tune changes , (the Export sounds different compared to the project) . I Have Tried to re Export and even then The Two projects dont have the Same Tune . Please Help ! thank you
I know some people have had that issue. I would send a report (in the help tab on top right in Serato studio, I also made a send customer support ticket video on how to do it).
Some people did a reinstallation of the software and it helped out sometimes
@@djgonz123 Thanks , im kind of glad this issue isn't just with me , its a little upsetting because now I can't get the sample to match the vibe I was making it in, i thought i had heard this happen before with other projects but it wasnt until i exported it infront of someone else that also noticed , that i knew i wasnt just me 😖

i have 2.0 how do i update? Do i have download the whole DAW again?
When you go to their website to download the Neewer version, it’ll just overwrite the previous one

Maan...that would be crazy... something similar to presonus atom...but I dunno how it would work considering that they are still adding to the software...how to decide what to add and not add to the controller

@@iamjo i have ddj sz, Work very good with pads, faders, efects.. But i wait for Pioneer to make a midi control like ableton push o akai fire.... The Arrangement is very important for me.... Serato Studio have to work a lot in this case.... For exemplo.... Record scenes directly into the Arrangement.... Add and Record Instruments(plug-ins) directly in the arrangement.....
Does Serato give free lifetime updates? For perpetual licenses?
So far from when I got a license there hasn’t been charges for new updates that roll out
I know with companies they usually charge for every major update...so for example.. you bought version 1 of the software...all small incremental updates 1.1, 1.2 etc would be free...until a major update like 2.0. that would be an upgrade fee. I'm not sure how Serato does it but I have a lifetime license...
@@m-chopbeats7526 so far it’s been free. On the dj side it was presumed that the major update that was stems would be an additional cost but it ended up not being an additional cost
