But there are a few cases where the "retro-style" synth adds something to the song that higher quality samples lack. Besides, the thing about the samples being too high quality was only a hypothesis (hence, saying "maybe"). The PSG samples sound pretty authentic, so maybe that's NOT what it is. It echos a bit much and removes a lot of detail this way. The percussion has a bit too much tempo compared to the original, hoarding attention and also removing detail from the music. The sub-bass and high treble undertones just died in this remix too. Also, never do intros with music files. It ruins the experience for the listener when he puts it in his playlist. Though I should note that the intro sounds are much better than what I have seen before.
Did anyone ever tell you how to criticize someone? It's a cover, off course things some kind of aspect would be different. Seriously, it's a cover, not orchestrated version.
