    I recommend if you are a starter go for 50 - 100 birds. When you are able to grow them then you think of expansion. 1000 is a lot :) great video

      I already have the experience working in my father's poultry with 300, 400, 500 birds, also helping my fiance raise broilers, all I need is capital now, I'm going to start of with 1200 birds, but I'll be using cages

    The cost of vaccination & medication can be minimal if the birds are from a good source.
    The cost of the feeds are the craziest in Nigeria where I farm and that's what makes poultry farming annoying. But nice calculation. Well done

    A chicken will always rather drink from rainwater pools if outside than water from a tap. They seem to know that rain water is pure and has nothing in the water

      The water it’s not suppose to change color or turning bad . The concrete tank help to maintain a good ph . And there is a good turnover between the water been used and the new one.

    Ur fence is similar to mine. I'll tell u that fence is not durable to trespassers unless u inspect your farm everyday. I kinda was abroad when they put up the fence so it was left unguarded for a month or so and so people started trespassing and pushing them.

    Am rearing broilers but I want to shift to layers though I will still be having some little number of broilers. But let me hope it will take me a half of this expense you have given because my target is to start with 500 layers

      Broilers are profitable but not as layers
      That is why I said I will not stop rearing them but I will be having small number compared to what I have now. And another thing if your rearing broilers the location matters a lot
