The water it’s not suppose to change color or turning bad . The concrete tank help to maintain a good ph . And there is a good turnover between the water been used and the new one.

I recommend if you are a starter go for 50 - 100 birds. When you are able to grow them then you think of expansion. 1000 is a lot :) great video

Am using a lamp that uses paraffin and a class for brooding and they prefer it to the charcoal stoves
