honestly, if nighteye faces someone who has overwhelming powers, he'll probably lose despite having foresight. he may know about incoming powerful attacks but if its too much power then it has no point since he's just a human with impressive physical abilities

He can see in the future,thus,predict him and the patterns of his movement,but sometimes it can have a failure,since he only sees one prediction out of alot of them

he also knew Deku would never physically harm him to take it because that is a choice Deku wouldn't make. He can see your choices and their outcomes, so he knew Deku wouldn't hurt him in that challenge.

when Nighteye was introduced in the manga I was like yo shit's broken but there was a limit to what he can see.. it immediately remind me of ywach in Bleach where he is really broken with no limit to his power.. dude needed a plot arrow just to kill him..

he was limited by his own abilities to dodge what he foresaw and also believed he could not change said future (and often could not). The only reason he was as good as he was is because he trained himself to foresee things without his ability, making his ability self-fulfilling. Very much like when Mirio was first introduced, it's a simple power that honestly has more drawbacks than perks unless you train yourself to otherwise make use of the ability. If he sees himself getting stabbed, he can't change the fact that he's gonna get stabbed.

he died because he has to touch someone directly and look into their eyes he never got to do that to overhaul so he couldnt use foresight and see it

Yes, but just for some years until he dies, because OFA is so OP that it kills everybody that got a quirk (takes some years, but it still kills everyone that inherits it). There are some exceptions like Deku and All Might who both got no quirks before and then inherited OFA.

This scene, when it was said that in fact didn't just want to be a hero even if it was just a small one and actually wanted to be the best of the best is what made him loose all my respect, all characters like this never have my respect. Even if one character does have these traits, they have to have some coolness to their character, and he went into that without thinking properly and as a result of this he let sir night eye get the upper hand. Anime mutants really. Just like in the X-Men there was a large war in MHA verse which cast their world into darkness, out of which emerged a world centred around people with quirks. Iirc in the wake of that large upheaval their world regressed in tech by quite a few decades. Like they are 100 years or something ahead of us but their tech is about 15 years behind us right now.

In thr final arc, Mirio regained his quirk and battled an All Powerful All For One Shigaraki, there Le Million was unable to hurt the villain but thanks to the hero's quirk everything passes through, knowing that he can only distract Shigaraki, Mirio flashed his butt to buy time saying *"Check out this peach"*.
Imagine if in his last moments the last thing Sir Night Eye saw is Mirio showing his ass at an overpowered villain.

He failed, it's just that failure had nothing to do with whether or not he'd get what he was after.

He clearly didn't focus on that part of his predictions. Just because something's in your field of view doesn't necessarily mean you're focusing on it or actually interpreting what you're seeing. His reaction to the undamaged posters seems to imply that.
