I can’t say thank you enough for your recipe. Growing up in Fiji / there was no measurements when mom cooked and we would have never done this without your help. 🙏🏽🥰🙏🏽. You are the best.
Dear Anita, You are welcome. I am glad my videos are helpful for you. I understand because I also have to ask my Mum to explain all the ingredients for recipes that I love in cups, teaspoons and tablespoons. I am still learning all the family recipes from my Mum and try to share it with you guys as well. When I left Fiji, I was still a student and I did not start cooking until I got married. Regards Anita.
I know it was posted 3 years ago but just saw it and really inspired to make it now. I am from Fiji as well but living overseas. It’s month of Ramadan and eid will be upon us in a month. Something for me to try and make for eid👍 please share more Fiji style cooking. I like the way you explained and showed every step. Take care.
Dear Super Girl, It is good to hear that my video has inspired you. I will also try to upload the rice flour and plain flour muruku soon. Hope you and your family are well and keeping safe. Dear Rachel, Yes, you can if the oil is not too burnt, just strain it and store it in a bottle. Hope you and your family are all well and keeping safe during this crisis.. Regards Anita.
Hi when ever I make nimkins the insides doesn't cook even though it becomes golden colour or even burnt...even if the roti mixture is thin...how can I make it nicely
Dear Lifes, Check the oil temperature. If it is too hot, it will brown very quickly on the outside and not cook properly on the inside. To adjust the temperature, cook a few at different temperatures to see where it takes a while to cook before changing colour. Everyone's stove is different. May be, between low to medium heat might be helpful. Turn them frequently so they can cook evenly. Hope this was helpful Regards Anita.
Dear gulrukh, Do not worry what it looked like as long as it was yummy. With practice you will be able to make perfect nimkis in no time. Don't give up. Keep up the good work. Regards Anita.
