Different people have different perspectives of freshman year
Freshman year was my second worst year. For a lot of people the hardest year is junior year but for me it was sophomore. I think junior year was my best year but everyone has different experiences. My senior year is going okay but I’m bored of all of my classes, I ran out of all the interesting classes so I’m kind of just reading and drawing in all of my classes waiting to go home
I’m 18, done graduated, and I DID NOT put in this much effort for my first day…girl props to you, you looked good ma’am 😭👏🏼

@@Salty-at-heart I’m in grade 10 and I would say that it’s important to be nice to everybody, and enjoy your freshman year because it will go by before you know it. Also, try to find an extracurricular (band, theater, sports, etc.) that you like in gr 9 (or 8 if they offer them) and roll with it through high school. It will make your college/university application look better and you may make some really good friends there! Really just have fun it’s not that serious and don’t start fights with anybody! For me high school has been some of my favourite years of school and I hope it goes just as well for you!
Lol I’m 26, but watch these videos as a nostalgia thing. Anyways, I grew up hella poor so I never looked exactly how I wanted to in high school (mostly thrifted stolen or gifted clothes) but I’m so happy your parents not only let you express yourself, but can help you achieve your look too ❤

Hey! As a high school senior this year applying to college, I want to give you some advice I wish I'd gotten as a freshman:
-do what YOU love, not what is cool or what you think will get others to like you.
-don't join a crap ton of clubs or extracurriculars for the hell of it. pick a couple that you genuinely enjoy, and dive hard into them!
-make sure to take time for yourself!
-try your best in all your classes, and when/if your school offers advanced courses, try to take them and push yourself! (obviously in courses you like or love, but you could even try something you may not normally try.)
-please, please enjoy yourself and know that you have so much ahead of you!!
-i'm always around to give advice, my socials are pretty searchable (and will become public again once I commit to a a college)

*ik this vid is old and you're probably halfway through freshman year; but in regards to highschool in general,* hang in there and hold on tight, cause highschool will actually go by pretty fast once you find other things to occupy yourself with (assignments, friends, hobbies, etc..) & speaking as a junior who's been complaining abt school since 9th and now I'm already having to look/apply for colleges 😮💨
try to enjoy your highschool years while you still can, and btw i'm not trying to enforce that _"highschool are the best years of your life!!!"_ bs because it's not true, not for a lot of us these days at least. what I mean is, even if you're struggling with a lot, maybe your friendships aren't working out, family issues, mental health, all of that "good" stuff...try to at least see the good in the little things. maybe you did good on an assignment for algebra, maybe a classmate made you laugh until there were tears in your eyes, maybe a teacher said goodmorning to you when you entered class, or maybe you just simply felt comfortable and content in the moment. stuff like that, that you might look back on and miss even just a little.

Ahh freshman year..ion wanna sound like one of dem but- When they say the whole high school thing goes by fast as hell, its true. Literally remember my first day like it was a couple weeks ago and Im graduated! Really it’s nothing to stress too much about, just keep giving it your best and he’ll take care of the rest. Im 18 and I graduated 2022 of January early because i did not want to wait til may but the best advice I can give you is to focus on your work and stay away from the older guys 😭. Ik you probably hear people say that all the time and may not take it too serious but trust me… listen. And if you earn all of your credits you can definitely graduate early as well. The boys will definitely be a distraction. I was warned but did not listen😂. Stay pure hun. You’re gorgeous. Also if your work becomes too much it is okay to slow it down. Stressing yourself out aint work it. Plus half of the stuff you learn won’t even be applied to life. But maintaining a good gpa will get you into a good college so yeah.
