My bunny’s habitat the 2nd one. The tile floor is actually not real tile. It’s kind of like a thin little sheet over our carpet floor. We use it so she doesn’t chew the actual carpet, because she is a pretty destructive bunny. Also, we also do put a bedsheet on top. I took off the bed sheet so you could see the cage in the photo. I realized after I sent the email that I probably should have put more information, but I’m so happy that my bunny’s enclosure go into this video!! 🐰🤍
About carefresh, my rabbits do not like it. They actually hate it and won't spend as much time as usual in their litter boxes if I add it. Talking to other rabbits owners, this is absolutely not an exception... I recommend just adding hay on top of the pellets for cushioning. It works really well

I'm from Germany and your views on keeping bunnies are pretty similar to the German bunny community but the American standard is pretty muchas different as it can get, for example it's illegal in some European countries to keep bunnies alone. Pellets are criticized because they're actually really unhealthy, you need at least 2 square meters per bunny but it's nowadays recommended to give them 3 per bunny. Keeping them outside is accepted if you make it fully safe (there are a bunch of things to look out for) and in German people usually only neuter their bunnies and there is a procedure where they remove a bunnies testicles before they reach puberty.
Yes (strict) Dutch rabbit care is also similar! Almost everyone thinks housing a rabbit alone is bad and there are a ton of options to bond your rabbits at rescue. It is recommended to neuter female bunnies because of the risk of ovarian cancer and aggresive hormonal behaviour. Science Selective pellets are seen as fine (if supplemented with enough greens). And housing in an outdoor hutch with a pen is also fine (if it is secured well enough).
Exactly. All rabbits are different and I think what she is saying is mostly subjective and based on her own rabbits, rather than rabbits in general, honestly.

If you add lots of hay on top of the pine pellets then you won’t have a problem with it being hard on their feet, just add extra hay cause I have a lion head and a mini lop and if you add carefresh on top for lion heads or similar breeds then it gets caught in their skirt
I actually use pee pads - I got the idea from Lennon The Bunny... I didnt know they were dangerous until you just mentioned it !! And I didnt know they were spraying cardboard boxes in the mail this year.
I use pee pads if I need to travel with my rabbit somewhere because I'm able to check if she's chewed it so you could still use them for that if you still have some :)
They're still fine to use, just probably best for travelling or something. Lorelei isn't wrong either, tbh. She wouldn't endanger anyone's rabbit. She's just as passionate about rabbit care as Hayley. Both just have differing opinions, I guess.
Hello, I’m planning to get a bunny next week so I been researching for the past hour. I been planning to use a playpen instead of a cage and I’m also still looking to see if I can find good food products, like hay, pellets, etc… I’m planning to buy everything, set it up and then take him or her home by next week, any recommendations for bunny care??? Such as diet, toys, enclosures , and more!! I would appreciate some help and tips! Thank you :)))
for #7, if you go w/ turning the bottom of that cage into a litter box, which i highly recommend, you can take the old litter box and make it a foraging bin (fill w/ hay and herbs and boom!). and lastly, with the top part of the cage, make another entrance/exit as suggested in the vid, cover it, place it somewhere in that huge enclosure area and tada you have a hidey house! (just w/ that one cage you have a litter box w/ the bottom half and a hidey house w/ the top, and w/ the old litter box you have a forage bin or even a storage bin for toys, supplies, etc.)
Love these videos! Please make some more ofter, I am always looking for new inspirations and tips! And yes on the litterboxe cleaning vid, you could also do it on your instagram lives.
If the dog training pads are hidden in the litter box.. I see no problem with it and plus not everyone has the money to buy two differnet bedding for the litter boxes .. seems a little too much
hi I want to ask you about bonding your rabbits is it required to tame them first separately and bond them or bond them and tame them together so you can bond to them? hoping that you will see this! :)
I use Pee pads for my rabbit and we usually never have a problem with it every once in a while he will chew a hole through it but it’s so small and it doesn’t do anything but if I eventually can’t use pee pads what do you recommend using?
I imagine so many people have puppy pee pads in their litter boxes because most other rabbit RUclipsrs recommend using them, usually with suggestions of how to keep the bunnies from chewing on the plastic edges.
It seems that you’re against covered litter boxes, but my guy refuses to use it unless it’s covered. We tried the large storage tub and he would not go inside consistently. The minute we got a smaller litter box and put it inside a cardboard box he started using it perfectly. So what’s your solution for that?
I've seen other bunny you tubers that use hooded litter boxes (like Lennon the rabbit and sincerely cinnabun) and I plan on getting one. Some rabbits just prefer it to be covered, I think they feel safer? I know you didn't ask me, but your bunny probably just likes it better covered so I would just keep using one like that. :)
@@thequeerbee2026 Not all rabbits like the same things. If someones rabbit likes a covered litter box that's awesome, if they like uncovered ones that's awesome too. And on the topic of 1 exits, my rabbit won't go inside hide houses with more than 1 exit unless she pushes it against something to block the 2nd exit. It's trial and error to see what your rabbit likes
I know you didn’t ask me either. But I think you should stick with a covered litter box if your bunny prefers it. Just make sure there’s two exits if you have more than one bunny. So they can enter and leave when they want to. You know your bunny’s needs best!
I would love to switch from pellets everything I had seen said you need to do pellets to make sure they get everything I have adult rabbit but I don’t know if they can live together. There are three of them but anyway, the question is I want to grow greens in such in the garden for them. Can you make a video on this or make a list of what I can draw for them?
About the thing where they don’t touch it and then destroy it... one of my rabbits squirrel (they are not bonded because squirrel is not spayed yet) but she would not Touch this homemade toy I made with a paper towel tube and brown paper bag and then one night I Heard a lot of ripping going on in the cage and I wake up and it is everywhere like I mean everywhere like in her water dish in her little box all on the floor and it was a BIG mess so I 100% agree with that
I do a layer of hay on top of the pine pellets (my bun has a hay feeder on the end of his litterbox) for cushioning instead of carefresh. Does this also protect his feet?
You are looking well and think you opened a real storefront. Hope your health is doing well. Find some peace and calm in your life! I know I def struggle
I love your Vids! Could You do one on how to "re-bond" two prior litter mate's? In Feb 2020 we bought 2 buck mini rex litter mates at 9 weeks. After a few months, their hormones kicked in and we separated them with fencing. They have their own room. The pandemic paused our plans for neutering till 4 weeks ago. Now, I'm slowly letting them play together every morning with no fights. They do fight over certain things, such as the other ones hutch, or certain areas. One is the dominant alpha the other is very submissive. I call them the odd couple as each one does things very differently. One poops with OCD and the other one poops everywhere using the contra gun spreading(video game reference) it all over. I read it could months. I use treats as positive reinforcement. Hope to come up with more creative ideas to push their bond back as BFF.Thanku! Both are a little year old
Hi i have a question my rabbits are on tile floors i have tried to put thimoty mats etc. On top but they pee on every mat i put down .any tips? Edit:they are litter trained if there are no mats etc.
Are they litter trained their are litter training videos everywhere but basically a quick rap up take a napkin soak up the pee (this probably sounds disgusting so use gloves if u want) and put it in their litter box and clean the area they peed with 50% vinger and 50% water (you could also just straight up use vinegar) and do that again until they get it hope that helps
We just received a bunny,as a gift for my daughter,a few day ago (born April 29th). He is not chewing on anything so far.He is a Netherlands dwarf and weighs a bit over a lb.He did come with pellets, but after reading about them, I stopped feeding him as of today. For now I give him Timothy hay, some organic meadow hay and the rest is leafy greens, vegetables, herbs and a bit of fruits (all organic). He won't be neutered,as his parents weren't either. I haven't seen a vet yet,so after watching this video I am confused about the pellets and his non existent chewing.Should I start giving him the pellets until I see a vet?He is very tiny, and I don't want him to lose weight.

My rabbit digs in her litter box, I have used carefresh she hated it, she hated having grass in her litter box would push it out, I use yesterday's news litter? Is that not safe? I would love to see a video of your cleaning of the litter box.
Idk if yesterdays news litter is basically just paper but if it is its absolutely safe and a better alternative for carefresh bc it can cost a lot of money also for the digging if tht gets hay everywhere n u don't want tht u could make a hay rack out of a bag n cut holes in it (not to big or small)
@Tessaxplays your enclosure is really good , you should maybe think about buying a cat tunnel from Amazon and putting it in the middle of your floor my bunny loves hers and maybe a few more toys in the middle of the floor as well xx

Question: I have a Rex and a polish bunny the polish is pretty small and can fit in like every hideout ever but my Rex is quite big and will only fit in cardboard hideouts I make I want to give her more options for hides but they all don’t fit her What should I do?
It doesn't matter the size of my litter boxes. If they are dirty, my rabbits will pee on my side of the bed to tell me to clean them. Even if they only used it once, they will not use it again unless it's clean. T.T My rabbits have attitudes.

@@zoeflorahl1893 really great tip. Thank you!
They're still fine to use, just probably best for travelling or something. Lorelei isn't wrong either, tbh. She wouldn't endanger anyone's rabbit. She's just as passionate about rabbit care as Hayley. Both just have differing opinions, I guess.
a litterbox settup cleaning tour would be great i am amazed you online need to clean them once a week.
Hi I was always waiting till you post a new video ☺️
Yes! In depth litter box cleaning video please!!!
Ty so much for using my sisters cage sapphire and opal she will very much appreciate it :)
yes pls do a video on litter boxes!!
Litter Box video PLEASSSEEEEE 🤭🙂
She has a few chipls
for #7, if you go w/ turning the bottom of that cage into a litter box, which i highly recommend, you can take the old litter box and make it a foraging bin (fill w/ hay and herbs and boom!). and lastly, with the top part of the cage, make another entrance/exit as suggested in the vid, cover it, place it somewhere in that huge enclosure area and tada you have a hidey house! (just w/ that one cage you have a litter box w/ the bottom half and a hidey house w/ the top, and w/ the old litter box you have a forage bin or even a storage bin for toys, supplies, etc.)
Hi love your vids so much
Love these videos! Please make some more ofter, I am always looking for new inspirations and tips! And yes on the litterboxe cleaning vid, you could also do it on your instagram lives.
If the dog training pads are hidden in the litter box.. I see no problem with it and plus not everyone has the money to buy two differnet bedding for the litter boxes .. seems a little too much
Also I'd love to see a video on cat litter boxes too!!!😁
Hiiiiii love your rabbits
Would really like to see how you clean you literbox
hi I want to ask you about bonding your rabbits is it required to tame them first separately and bond them or bond them and tame them together so you can bond to them? hoping that you will see this!
I love these kinda videos
@@zoeflorahl1893 they don't feel safer the feel less safe bc it's only one exit. Just get a storage box simple easy and better for them
@@thequeerbee2026 Not all rabbits like the same things.
@@thequeerbee2026 my bunny absolutely refuses to use an uncovered litter box. I do believe he feels safer when it’s covered.
Habitat for Humanity Restore has very reasonable carpet remnants, etc. Salvation Army, etc.
Yes hay works too!
Hi there, I don't exactly recommend hay feeders:))
Oh my godddd, you're hair😍😍😍
Awesome
Both are a little year old
I love these types of videos ~ great topic.
I love these reviews! ~
I have seen people use them in their bunny's litter box to not stain the bottom and help absorb the pee
OMG ya love this! And that we all want to get rabbits that our parents won’t let us 😅
Same lol
Too bad I got a bunny
Same
@@lylaconover1313 I got a question now that it’s summer is your bunny breathing too fast and if so how long because I’m worried my bunny is gonna die cos it’s summer I told my mom about it but only now she is breathing too fast
@@Rhaenyrasno.1 Tell your mom to take your bunny to a vet to get checked out. Also tell her it’s better to be safe then sorry . Hope your bunny is ok
@@ihave2channelsfollowmyothe578
She digs all the litter out lol.
Nononono I SHOULDVE ENTEREDDD I got my first rabbit around 2 months ago and idk if his cage setup is good 😭
Show a video on ur RUclips channel and ill give y9u s9me advice x
@@charliedixon1699 okay one second
@Tessaxplays your enclosure is really good , you should maybe think about buying a cat tunnel from Amazon and putting it in the middle of your floor my bunny loves hers and maybe a few more toys in the middle of the floor as well xx
@@charliedixon1699 okay tysm xx
Everything you recommend i dont have😂 my lil guy (12 weeks) HATES willow- he lovesss the vinyl and laminate floor- he prefers his hidy house small with one entrance- and he loves his cat litter box, that is in his main big house (he chose that spot)
Oh- and his litter box has a pee pad in it
I have one quite small litter box and both my buns cuddle up in it a lot :) I’m planning to upgrade it to a bigger one soon
Also in the uk we have pellets for baby bunnies and different ones for adults idk if it’s the same in the us
Question:
I have a Rex and a polish bunny the polish is pretty small and can fit in like every hideout ever but my Rex is quite big and will only fit in cardboard hideouts I make I want to give her more options for hides but they all don’t fit her
What should I do?
It doesn't matter the size of my litter boxes. If they are dirty, my rabbits will pee on my side of the bed to tell me to clean them. Even if they only used it once, they will not use it again unless it's clean. T.T My rabbits have attitudes.
Hi Haley! I don't have insta so I didn't see your post about sending in pictures of habitats. We are expanding our bunnies habitat very soon. Could I email you when we finish? Also, what email would I use?
My bunny is weird he doesnt chew on things! He only bites his hay!!!! I love these setups so many great ideas.
Litterbox cleaning video please!!
Isn´t willow a bit harsh to the tummy?
Have a question? I ordered a Fort from (bunny beds and beyond) Edinboro PA back in March and still haven’t received it and they are not responding to recent emails...Does anyone know if they’re legit or did I get scammed? Thank you
🤩😍👍🐰
Hi Haley, I’ve been wanting to buy a snugabun for my rabbit for so long, but I don’t live in America, where can I contact you at?
i was wondering if cozy n fresh small animal pellet litter is safe for my bunny?
I have two female rabbits, they are bonded without them being fixed. they are from the same litter that is why :)

@101Rabbits Can I put my bunny cage half under my bed and half not under my bed?
@@lilydoherty5050 thank you, I'll do what she does and get a huge pen hilled with supplies, thank you again.
Hi, what do you mean by "you can't bond a rabbit till they're spayed"? I'm getting a baby dwarf in a week and I don't want her to be aggressive too much🥺
if the rabbits aren't spayed and its boy and girl the girl is going to be pregnant
Your hair is sooooo gorgeous.
Are you the one I purchased all my rabbit stuff from online? Same name? Also Etsy. I love all there stuff
Hmmm what a great way of seeing what everyone else is going to be doing today what do they do what is the best way for everyone to be able for a good one year
