- Presenting Sindhi Arbi Tuk, a delicious, spicy and mouthwatering dish. Arbi is one of the favourite ingredients of Sindhis who love making different recipes with it, with the hot favourite being Arbi Masala Fry / Arbi Tuk.
Arbi which is also known as Kachaloo looks very similar to potatoes and has a very distinctive taste, which gives it a delicious flavour.
This Masala Arbi Fry / Arbi Tuk step-by-step video recipe has a very tangy and spicy taste due to the addition of chaat masala and other spices which makes it a great accompaniment for both lunch and dinner time. The arbi / kachalu is first boiled, coated with masalas and then fried to give it a delicious crispy outer layer.
Arbi Tuk Masala as it is known in Sindhi, is made on the tawa using very less oil, making it a very healthy recipes that even weight watchers and those on a weight loss diet can enjoy.
This easy to make Arbi Tuk recipe is also made the day before Thadri to be eaten as a dry vegetable on Thadri. Arbi is a important part of Sindhi Cuisine / Sindhi Cooking and one can often find many families using it for as a side accompaniment for their meals.

Hello aunty ji. When I fry the arbi for first time, it becomes very hard. The end result was hard like chips and not soft. Please tell me why and any tips. Thank you very much

We fry arbi one time only that also light golden not brown that makes very hard and after fill masala we roaste arbi very little oil
Halka golden hone tak fry kare paltate hue phir masala bhar ke flat kare aur wo masala bahar se bhi lagaye and aur 2se 3 chamac oil dale aur arbi pieces rakhe flame slow rakhe dono side roaste kare wo arbi hard nahi hogi
