The alternative to using drones is using manned aircraft with the danger of losing pilots to those nice fellows who will either saw your head off or burn you alive in a cage. Killing people in war has always been hard on the killers. Besides, if only “bad” people died in war (dog kickers, wife beaters, child molesters, etc) it would be understandable. But kids, grandmas, and innocent people die and that’s the reality of what we do. It’s ugly.

the terminal control equipment they are using seems to be really low end, if this is what they are using to control actual drones, you would think they would invest money in using high end quality equipment for such tasks like controling a drone.

This is unconventional warfare. Both sides are using unconventional tactics. IED's, human-bombs, blowing up government buildings (verses military bases) and using civilians as meat-shields are what Taliban/Al Qeuda members brought to the table. American brought drones to take them out in there sleep. If they want to have a conventional war then we will use conventional tactics such as, seals, rangers, apaches, f-16's, ac-130's, and blow up military strong-points likes its been done in the past. Don't throw a hissy fit just because you chose not to play by the rules THEN accuse America of not playing by the rules.
