I remember grandma's kitchen smelling so wonderful with Perogies and Holabtsi this time of year. Her kitchen table was lined from edge to edge with perogies as she and mom would make tons for the family coming over. Gods I miss Grandma and her cooking so much.

These look great..... my Baba also use to fry onions and put them with the mashed potatoes. I have never been to the Ukraine cause my baba came here to Canada as a little girl...and I was born here. I'm happy I found your channel and hope to see more Ukrainian recipes. Thanks.. IPKA.

Hello Olga, I am Polish so Pierogi are in my life but was that pepper (a lot) you added to the onion? Your recipe does not say and the onions got so very dark in color I want to make sure what ingredient that was. I never would do that in mine so I want to make sure. They look wonderful and I love your methods. Thank you so very much. You are so sweet so cute and your grandmother must be proud. Thank you.
