    Name a better striker than is different type of player to Suarez and Sturridge that qualifies as home grown, is happy to sit on the bench and will give everything because he supports the club, will get around 10-15 goals throughout the season, is amazing at set pieces and is on under, £70,000 a week and cost the same price

      ***** Lambert is better than Wickham and Sunderland wanted like £7m a few years back they would probably ask for around £15m now and he isn't worth that, we don't need a striker who take 30 games to start scoring and it would damage wickhams career to join a club where he will rarely play he'll have no chance of fulfilling his potential on the bench the whole time

    Wall of fame: Brendan Rogers. A few years ago. George Hicks was about to put Liverpool in a position where they could be looking at relegation in the face due to administration. Many years have passed and although Liverpool had no financial trouble, there was no structure to get Liverpool back to where they should be in English football. Since Rogers has come in he has implemented a new philosophy to how Liverpool should play football. He not only has got Liverpool back to around the top of the Premier League, but is also competing against teams who has spent so much more than them. Goes to show how commitment despite the ability is more powerful than just spending on proven players which consists of a lot of money grabbers. I will keep commenting until he is on here. #copafam #walloffame #LEGEND #YNWA #toomanyhashtags

    Lets face it, not many world class/good strikers are gonna want to be backups, but Liverpool have been dealt a perfect situation in Rickie Lambert, a striker who knows the game, has done quite well in the Premier League, cheap and will be happy on the bench and getting a few games here and there as he's a boyhood Liverpool fan and so is happy that he's at the team he supported as a kid, plus he offers a new option, take the Liverpool vs Chelsea game, 1-0 down to a title rival, Liverpool need a new option up front, who do they bring on? Iago Aspas, a man whos biggest contribution was the worst corner I've ever seen, Liverpool also in that game started to be desparate and throw crosses in with no big men in the box, Rickie Lambert can be that guy, also he isn't bad with his feet either and so can suit Rodgers style of play, I think he is a great signing for Liverpool especially for only £4m. #RickieIn (Sorry for the long post)

    #RickieIn Lambert is not only a superb striker but also a superb footballer, technically good, good finisher, clever movement and very intelligent football brain, good in the air and brings others into play, he's something different to what Liverpool already have up front and can give Liverpool that flexibility and also act as another playmaker,

  • @PartyingPope
    @PartyingPope 10 лет назад +14

    poet is full of wank. Lallana is quality, he is proven premier league talent and he's home grown. 25 mil might be a bit much but it's better buying a tried and tested premier league player than splashing out cash on an unproven foreign player. Also we got Lambert for 4 mil who is also a proven premier league striker who has scored and assisted 10+ goals in the BPL last season.

  • @larrymurphy7865
    @larrymurphy7865 10 лет назад +9

    Anyone who thinks Lambert is a poor buy at 4-5 million needs to start supporting rugby cos football is not for you. No striker Liverpool could have signed would have improved their front line, they have no problems up front whatsoever. Lambert for that price is great business. Take in his wages, his willingness to play second fiddle to the SAS and the fact he'll give everything when he gets the chance due to being a Liverpool fan alone is good enough reason to sign him. The fact he was gotten for such a small price and guarentees you around 10 goals a season, with a perfect penalty record and the ability to offer a different option up front makes his signing not just a good buy but a great one. Poets suggestion to wait till after the world cup is nonsense, any striker who has a good world cup will sky rocket in price. His suggestion of Remy instead is also nonsense. Lambert has nearly 30 goals in 2 seasons in the premier league, along with a load of assists, he also has a better fitness record than Remy, would command less wages and was much cheaper therefore freeing up funds for other positions in far greater need of sorting. Liverpool have the 2 top scorers in the league, a big money striker or one who expects to be starting is not what they needed. Basic economics. If people like poet cant grasp that then maybe tennis or rugby is the sport for you guys.

    Rickie Lambert is a great signing for Liverpool, he is passionate about the club because that's where is heart has always been, he has managed to score goals wherever he has gone, even in the premier league, i seen him play week in week out with Bristol Rovers and he was absolute class and i knew he would definitley get somewhere and for about 4 - 5 million is a great price, he has been in the premier league for a few seasons now so he knows it well and has proven it by scoring goals the past few seasons..... definitely #rickiein

They need a rest, They're Professional Football Players. U can say whatever the fuck u want but suarez is staying at liverpool and if he really wanted to complete a dream move to real madrid . he would have went to real madrid last year during the summer when we had no chance of playing in the UCL or winning the league but he stayed and helped us secure our return to the UEFA Champions League.

He began in the conference to be spotted by Southampton and moved from league 2 to the premier league in 4 years scoring 50+ goals in the championship. A goal tally of 100+ goals is an amazing achievement for any striker but especially for a striker that was in the conference 5 years ago, now to be jetting off to the World Cup as one of the 4 strikers chosen to go to Brazil. #Legend

    The funny thing is Poet, Liverpool could have three players, Lambert, Sturridge and Suarez who score more goals individually than what Arsenals leading goalscorer can manage to score individually next season. How many goals did Dzeko, Negredo and Aguero score between them this season? I think I'd take the Liverpool three, over those three. Also Lambert won't be a back up player, yes he'll be third choice but he'll be more of a rotation player, he'll get plenty of game time.

    #RickieIn First of all we're not going to use rickie that much, he's just going to be sitting in the bench for our backup striker. we DO need a backup striker cuz our current backup SUCKS (Aspas). second of all, lambert's a liverpool fan, he has dreamt of playing for liverpool this means he'll sit on the bench and would still give his 200% when he's on the pitch. third of all he scored 15 goals and got 10 (TEN) assist last season. And last, he was bought for 4.5 mil (which is pretty cheap for a descent striker), so.. WHAT THE FUCK COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG? :)

  • @MrKarim992

    Lambert was a very good buy, offers a physical presence that Liverpool don't have up front, and he had the third most assists in the league and 13 goals. For 4 mill its a very shrewd purchase.

    #RickieIn Rickie Lambert is an amazing striker, good with his head, offering something different to suarez and sturridge, scores for set pieces and also a specialist penalty kicker (hasnt missed for southampton). Hes also a lifelong lfc fan so hes gonna give that extra 10% whenever he comes on

    #Brazil A few suggestions:
    1. Go around town scaring people. The creativity of how you do it is up to you. Do it for 30min and see who scared the most people.
    2. See how many Brigadeiro you can fit in your mouth! Brigaderios are Brazilian chocolates usually served at birthdays! For you POET!
    3. If "Maradona" is coming with you guys, have him make a guys do a scavenger hunt to find three objects (this can include taking a selfie at a landmark, finding a USA fan, finding a place that sells Brigadeiro, locating a Jamaican restaurant, etc.) First to get the three items wins! Loser has to eat a spicy dish or buy the other and England Jersey!
    BONUS. Find an orphanage and donate some supplies (old clothes,toys, etc) and see how many smiles you can get. :) #challengetime

    Frank Lampard for #walloffame. 13 years, 648 apps, 211 goals for chelsea. My best Chelsea player and arguably the best midfielder of the decade. Felt like he had to be recognised for this feat.

    Lambert is a great signing, massive Liverpool fan and will know he won't play every game, he's the type of player to bring on and he'll play his heart out, plus his goals & assists record is tremendous. He offers something different to our other options as well. £4 million is a bargain. Plus, would Remy happily sit on the bench?. I'm definitely #RickieIn

Its been his dream to play for his hometown team and he offers something that football seems to have lost; a sense of pride #RickieIn

    #Rickiein He's a liverpool fan, He's played in the lower leagues of england his whole career with Rochdale and Stockport County. Now he has his chance to play for the team he supports in the Premier League, he's coming towards the end of his career. At least he'll play with passion and without a doubt will be trying his best and won't just be there to pick up his wages after the match.

    Theres not many clubs with a better 3rd striker than lambert, and you know that 23 year old italian striker Borini. In games like the chelsea one they completely stopped us playing our football, bringing on someone like lambert can completely change up our tactics giving us a plan B

    #RickieIn for sure. Lambert is a quality striker who has an eye for goals and he will be a great player off our bench. Last season, our 'super subs' were either Moses or Aspas, (both utter shit) But now with Lambert we add a level of depth we didnt have before and with Champions League, domestic cups, and the Prem. League competitions themselves, we are going to need someone who can take some pressure of of S&S.

    #rickiein He is a solid proper English striker. He is a scouser and this is what he has wanted his whole life. He will pour his heart and soul in for the team and with all the deals going through with Southampton, we are looking to pick up lallana and Lovren as well for most likely a cheaper price to avoid certain clauses I believe.

    Completely agree with Poet. England need to strip back to the bone and rebuild a new young squad. We may not win anything for a few years but the squad will gel and I think that as good as the players we've previously had England has never really felt like a team, just a bunch of individuals. So if we give a young squad time to gel and become a team who knows what could happen?

  • @GardEngebretsen
    @GardEngebretsen 10 лет назад

    I think Lambert is a good signing. He's extremely different from Sturridge and Suarez, and really every other attacker we have - and that's a good thing. This season we were at times too static. If we meet a team who's just sitting comfortably back there's really nothing we can do. Suarez would have to dribble for instance 10 Chelsea players to score, and we all know that's not gonna happen. Everything we did in those situations this season was to attempt to win set pieces, and move up Skrtel. With Lambert we actually got a player who's got a remote chance of winning in the air, and scoring from a cross. Also, he's not bad with the ball - and a pretty good passer. He's also a Red, and will give it his all every time. I'm optimistic. #RickieIn

    Lambert is the right choice. What kind of young promising striker will want to sit on the bench and play 3rd choice to SAS? No-one. An "old" guy, Liverpool through and through, hard worker, gives 110%. It makes perfect sense to me.
