He doesn’t like when people look at him as a vocal acrobat! He sings by heart straight to the hearts of listeners! Such a pity that not everyone feels the deep meaning of the song even if it is in Chinese language ! But the good thing is that the number of people who feel this song is so tremendous !

Dimash sings softly to emphasize the difference between War and Peace, his voice is clearly discernable here. Dimash composed, orchestrated, arranged, produced, had his words put into Chinese lyrics (the song was premiered in China at one of his concerts) he does it all. He is a highly intelligent, highly educated musician who has a Master's with honours in Composition with a score of 100% so please don't denigrate him, he knows what he is doing. He isn't a kid with no idea. He has been on stage since he could stand up, he first performed at age 5 and is a seasoned professional since 2010 when he was 16. He has performed all over the world in those years and has been giving stadium concerts around the world since 2017. Smaller solo concerts since 2010 in Kazakhstan. He is now an Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan a title bestowed on him by the President. He is a very respected musician by his peers around the world and has recently been sought out by none other than Hans Zimmer. So please, more respect. Thank you ❤️

You may like it or not, but nothing in this song is casual, everything is about opposites, War and Peace, good and evil, understanding and missunderstanding, love and hate and of course powerful music and soft voice. Dimash knows what he's doing, and he does what he wants to do. For me Dimash is a genius. Greetings from Spain.🙋‍♀🙋‍♀

Dimash has released many original number 1 hit singles in China and an album that went platinum in 37 seconds and triple platinum is an hour. He has world class composers waiting in line to work with him including Hans Zimmer who recently contacted him right after his highly successful sold out concert in Dusseldorf Germany (after Dubai and later Prague) and his invitation by music mogul Ralph Simon to perform at the DLD Conference in Munich. Dimash just recently released his masterpiece short film The Story of One Sky that took him 3 years to compose due to his extremely busy schedule and spent his own 7 million dollars on the filming production, orchestra and choir. Total of 400 people involved in this masterpiece work of art. He uses his vocal artistry as the soundtrack of the film so the two are intricately tied together. Each frame is very meaningful with much symbolism embedded throughout the story and requires attention to detail. I wouldn't be surprised if this will be included as part of his doctoral thesis to complete his PhD in Musicology.

I love this song! ❤ It's my favorite from his own composition. I also love that the music is loud and his voice is soft and high. Perfect contrast to my ears. It's like the music is angry, war like and his voice is gentle, peace like. He's also singing it in Mandarin.
When I play it in my car, I play it loud.

You missed the point of the song entirely. But then you probably aren't aware that Dimash is a musician first and foremost. Yes he has the most amazing vocals when he wants to but he does exactly what the song requires and if you are only along for the ride when he does the high notes you are going to be sadly disappointed with much of his music.
The disparity between the music and the voice are intentional. War is represented by the hard driving rock music and peace represented by Dimash's voice. At first war drowns out the voice of peace but the cry for peace gets louder and louder until finally it drives stands above the cacophony of war.
Dimash wrote the music as part of his Masters degree and told a Chinese lyricist exactly what he wanted to say as he wanted the lyrics in Chinese.
You're really going to miss something exceptional if you believe The Story of One Sky is too long to bother with, it's been reacted to by almost every reactor who has ever reacted to Dimash including all the vocal coaches and the overwhelming consensus is that it's a masterpiece where he has made musical history with an artform where the MV and the music are both of equal importance.

Debbie, after watching their reaction to "War and Peace" - Dimash's voice is too high, the music is too loud, they couldn't make out the Mandarin lyrics even though they know they're Chinese and they don't speak Chinese. Then, hearing them say they don't have time to be bothered with a 13-minute video, I'd prefer that they not react to "The Story of One Sky" anyway. "War and Peace" is an exceptional composition - it's rock fused with Argentine tango, something perhaps unprecedented. It's classical orchestration with Dimash doing ethnic trills with his voice. Utterly unique.

This song speaks about duality in every human being but it is in us to try to balance the good and evil, always put the love and respect above all. Dimash said once it is sad to see how children suffer due to the mistaken decisions of adults, that’s true. Dimash knows this very well because his own country has been through difficult times and that definitely left a mark inside of him. Dimash sang this song in Kiev and Russia on 2020. Dimash composed the music of this song and lyrics by Yáo Qiān, Chinese composer with Dimash. On the other hand, I love drums and the funky sound of the electric guitar 🎤💙💛🎸☮️

"The Story Of One Sky" is a movie more than a music video. It has a strong message that Dimash has been working on for 3 years. He composed it and wrote the script.
This is in the description of the video:
On September 23, at the solo concert of Dimash in Almaty we saw the premiere of his song "The Story of One Sky". On September 24, at the artist's fan meeting, the audience saw the clip of this composition for the first time.
Dimash Qudaibergen’s 12-minute work is dedicated to the unity of people on our planet. We are all divided into races, nations and religions, but we are all children of one planet and live under one sky. Life is the highest value.
No sacred book calls for the destruction of people. We must learn to be friends; it is impossible for a few adults to cause millions of children to suffer. The future of our planet, the future of people is in our hands, let there be peace in the world.
We are children of one Home, one Earth and one Heaven

The problem today in the entire music industry is that we have been accustomed for a long time to enjoy the sounds of the orchestra in the background or the voices of the artist as an experience of the moment, an experience of music where the message behind the sounds is not always important!
..Dimash is not like that.. or more correct or not just like that!
Music for him is a philosophy of life and through it he expresses himself..
Equally, Dimash could have been a painter who expresses himself in colors and shapes. But from the age of two and for 28 years he navigated a path of spreading his thoughts through music..
By the way, I don't remember who I think one of his close friends testified that in every song Dimash knows what will be from A to Z... so the power of the music is not random!
    And my advice to you?
Listen to Dimash from now on without any comparison to the way you used to listen to other singers!
    Dimash another! exclusive! Special!
That's the only way you'll understand and later enjoy his music!

I think the words were indistinct because it was a clip from a live concert. If you check out his Digital Show version you will be able to hear the words better. As far as the music overpowering his singing, I think maybe it is representing the loud sounds of war that are clamouring all over the world while the call for peace is often quiet and harder to hear. His video "The Story of One Sky" is indeed almost 14 minutes long, but it's worth every minute!

    • @marthahazen4670

Yes, it was a clip, but the venue of this particular live concert with Dimash's message is especially meaningful. I watch this video and wonder who in the audience is still alive because of the exact issues in this song. Nothing Dimash does is without thought. The contrast between the voice of Dimash and the music is exactly the message. I think your comment, Ana, is right on target. I did smile when I heard that "The Story of One Sky" was too long. My goodness, what a perfect example of dramatic irony.

Hi guys. Dear here. I'm not mad that you guys felt the music was too loud. You'd have needed to know a lot more about the way D approaches things to be able to connect the dots, so to speak. I think the idea was for his voice to accompany the music, and not the other way around. The reason I think this, is because you have a Kazakh singer singing a song in Chinese, in the Ukraine. It should be a recipe for misunderstanding. Yet, the message on the screens in so many languages and the visuals behind him were enough to tell the story. And yes, you're right. Given the state of affairs, it's ironic and heartbreaking that he sang this in the Ukraine. Looking forward to more from you. New subscriber from South Africa.

This song is from Dimash's channel, from the video "Dimash-ARNAU TOUR/2020". Someone downloaded this particular song from the hole video and probably mixed up the sound (maybe for copyright issues?). Dimash composed the music for War & Peace and a Chinese lyricist wrote the lyrics, as stated at the start of the video. The music is not too high for him he actually sings with feeling & that is part of how he constructs the song! Do you not know anything about Dimash? He sings in 13 different languages and is the holder of 2 Honours Degrees in music & a Doctorate in music composition too! As for his voice being "too high" he has a vocal range of 7.2 octaves so can cover Baritone, Tenor & even Soprano ranges with ease. He also sings every genre of music from Opera to pop, rock, folk, r & b and even raps and does it all superbly! He intended the song to sound exactly as it did. I wonder if you understand putting emotion into music.

Not all Brits remember? There are many British Dimash Dears and even now more British reactors are discovering Dimash and are truly appreciative of the originality he's bringing to music.

This Arnau Kiev version of War and Peace isn’t available as an individual video on Dimash’s channel; however, the whole concert is there, and this performance can be viewed from 38.18 minutes in: ruclips.net/video/_CdMr5evJNA/видео.html
(Perhaps there may be a better balance of sound there ...)

He is in Ukraine. Singing in Ukrainian. One of his best songs. He wrote that when he was very young. Can you imagine that.

I think you have not picked the best video for this reaction. I have found your sound quality is not good either. A little research to get the best quality videos would be an advantage for your viewers. Although it is not easy stopping a track, mid sentence is not good and makes the flow of the song disjointed. Bit more professionalism would be nice and do justice to the artists.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Forgive them for they know not. These two are casual listeners. They have no concept of what Dimash is doing with War and Peace, so they focus on what they perceive as flawed balance between band and vocals, and they miss that "balance" is the theme of this composition. It's also obvious they want Dimash to jump through hoops in every video. Nuance is not their bag. Still, they gave their best "casual" reaction and I will forgive them for missing (or ignoring) the point. They may be more suited to reviewing Justin Bieber's mindless songs in the future. I wish them well.

Lyrics are Not by Dimash! He hired a famous Chinese poet to write the lyrics in Chinese and to make sure that the lyrics really expressed what he wanted to say!

I'm sorry but I don't think you really understand what Dimash does. I know everyone has their own taste in music but to criticise when you don't understand it is a tad annoying for me. Please, if you're going to react to something then please at least educate yourselves on the person/artist you are reaction to!

Not your favorite? Are you a singer or riding on Dimash coattails. You know you should give your view payment to Dimash. Remember you didn't contribute whatsoever to the music you are presenting to the Dears.
