Thanks for this. I'm already to lvl 14, and had no idea what I was doing. This made me understand what it all meant. I really do appreciate you taking the time to share it. It makes so much sense now.
to avoid any breakage of gear which can be expensive, your leader or line should be less than the weight capacity at burst load for the rod and the reel separately. That way the line breaks, you lose the lure and you don't break a rod or break the reel needing repair. Leader>line>reel, where the rod should be the strongest of the other 3. At max drag, you don't care about snapping the line/leader. Same as real fishing. If you are trying to max the reel drag, then you are playing with fire as the fish can burst and pull it hard, breaking the reel.
Hi. Yes, I found this to be a very irritating function of the game myself when I first started playing. The game has different classes of rods and reels. These are Spinning, Casting, Feeder/Bottom, Float, Carp, Spodding. Each of these has different types of tackle that the game allows you to use with them. You have to understand that this game is developed by Europeans that are not used to freedom and liberty. They are extremely anal retentive about their made up rules for "Fishing Etiquette". They basically look at this game as their way of teaching the rest of the world how they "Should" fish and use their equipment. The Texan Hunter believes in liberty and individuality and does not agree with them. I fish how I want and they can keep their EU "Ethics" to themselves when it comes to real life fishing. However, this is their game and if you play this game, you have to do it their way.
can u help me im a level five and i bought a spinner rod where like the leaders and hooks wont let me assemble them what should i do because using the tele rod cant let me catch a fish for my lonestar 2 mission requirements
The game has some quirks like this. On a spinning rod, you can use a leader, but it is not required. Hooks cannot be used on a spinning rod, only lures and jigs. Hooks can only be used on Feeder, Bottom, and Match rods. Spinning rods and Casting rods can only be used with lures. Hope this helps.
Yes, instead of a Hook, use a Jig Hook and a soft bait like a Slug, Nymph, or worm. (These are the rubber baits, Not fresh) or you can just use a lure with that rod. 🤗
I have a higher set up but I can not cast over 50 feet. I have the GalaxyCast 4'7" and the VorteX 5000 reel. I can not cast past 50 feet no matter the lure I use. Is it the line that causes this or the fact that the rod is so small?
Can you help me? Im a level 4. I dont break lines or anything. I just can't get a far cast. I use the TeleFloat 14'9" rod and the CallistoXSR 1000 with mono .005'' line and a 8# hook. In your opinion, what is the best rod for Lone Star Lake?
It means how much line is taken in by one full rotation of the handle. For lure fishing, you want a slower retrieve, so you would look for a reel with a lower recovery. For bottom rods, you will want a faster retrieve so you can get your line in and out faster.
You can use max drag on this system without breaking the rod of the line, if the rod and the lone have a weight tolerance greater than that of the max drag of the reel. However, in my experience, using max drag only gives a little extra drag, but increase the wear on the reel greatly, necessitating more frequent repairs of the reel, which is expensive. It is simply not worth it for me.
@@thetexanhunter well im new to this game, when i saw old video some people can use max drag without touching maximum bar, when i tried same build its still touching so i confused, thx for you answer sir
Pretty much all thumbnails are clickbait on RUclips. RUclips pretty much demands it. They rank your whole channel based on the CTR (click through ratio) . You can have the best video on earth, but if you don't have a thumbnail that will get people to click on it, it will never get seen. If RUclips shows people your thumbnail and they don't click on it, RUclips downgrades the ranking of your whole channel and will suggest your videos less and less. So, say thank you to RUclips for all the clickbait thumbs you see. They are the ones who have made them mandatory to survive. My video teaches exactly what the thumbnail says, though. You cannot deny that. You may not agree with what I taught in the video, but I did teach about building the perfect rod by my standards. So in this regard, my thumbnail was not clickbait.
@thetexanhunter I mean your thumbnail is clickbait because your advertisement is based on the best rods in game not the official fishing planet rods, for someone who's was completely unsuspecting and is looking for the FPS In-realife rods that thumbnail is quite missconseving and quite clickbait.. but please feel free to make content that actually show the rods from the game in-real life as advertised..
That's a bit of a stretch, I think. The title of the video pretty clearly spells out what the video is about. Just because you were looking for something else and clicked on the wrong thing does not make my thumbnail clickbait. I think you have a wrong understanding of what clickbait is. A clickbait is when something claims to be something that it is not. Both my title and thumbnail are exactly what is in the video. So no, they are not clickbait. I am sorry you did not find what you were looking for in my video. I know it can be frustrating sometimes when one cannot find the right thing on the Internet, when there is so much information. I run into this problem on a daily basis. But your frustration is aimed at the wrong person. It is what I tried to tell you in my first response. It is the machine.
@thetexanhunter you have a point and my apologies I'm not trying to start an argument by any means, all that I was saying is that the thumbnail looks a little clickbait but I can understand what you have to do for view's on yt I can understand its hard but surely you could make a thumbnail and still have the same affect an possibly better just a thought.. still a pretty good video very informative I was looking for something else and found a more detailed an informative video, I've subbed for more future content ❤
@Jackko_2215 I appreciate that. I don't make any money from this channel and it takes a lot of time to make these videos. I try my best to make useful helpful content.
DON'T bother making tutorials for the uninitiated in this very bad game, it doesn't work at all anymore, I don't know how to explain it, it's a good game, it's gone very bad, it doesn't work at all
The tutorial didn't work for you because the uploader didn't bother to explain this "beginner" guide requires a minimum level 20 account to obtain the rod he tells us to prioritise. That's what the 20 next to a star on the shop item selection meant. I'm currently level 7 after playing for at least a week. No hope for me to follow the instructions anytime soon either. Flagging the video as misleading/bad description if you'd care to join in
@@thetexanhuntercheck your condescending arrogance! I'm watching it again (you're not welcome for the extra view) and you just DRAG out the video length to justify showing off the gear you have access to. If you focused on explaining the mechanics/physics people might understand and be happily back on their way to playing the game in 2-3mins tops. Who's going to be so confused as to need the explanation by the time they're eligible to buy that stuff you equipped? I was level 7 yesterday learned nothing from your video, and now made it past 6mins but you never bother to explain the significance of what a spinning rod is. Through trial and error on my own I figured it out without you. Now I could explain to other beginners the difference between float and spinning. Why couldn't you have started with explaining from the selection of rods available from level 5 and under? Because you made the video for your followers who've already been playing, not for the real fishing beginners/newbies like me who've never really known what they were using the few times they tried fishing for real. If a beginner watches half the video and can see you're getting increasingly irrelevant after only one useful hint was in the first 2mins, it's clearly about making money for the channel, not for the beginners
Forgot to mention after figuring out the difference between a float and spinner, I already reached level 11. If I'd known sooner not to waste money on parts for a third type of rod (the feeder cage stuff) I'd be even further along

Would be easier if you made a metric version but GREAT VIDEO THANKS 😊

just hit options, switch to imperial, match his setup 1:1 and then switch back to metric ;)

In a float rod, the bobber is what determines how far you can cast. Get the heaviest bobber you can to cast farther.

Since you can only cast it about 250ft it makes no sense to put more line on the reel than that. You’re just wasting line that you will never use.
Not true catching big fish can and will pull lots of line out so adding more line can give the fish more room to run and not spool you
@Retracbeamedyou Correct! I once caught a Unique Lake Trout on the JigWinner that took out 900 feet of like.
