Wonderful piece of film. The Tickled Trout bridge over the Ribble, near Preston and the motorway junctions. Richmond Terrace in Blackburn, Victor Barnard's scooter shop, Victoria St and the Royal pub. Ainsworth St with Woolies and the Co-op, Salford and the Ying Kin. Then looking onto Lord St over the site of the (then) recently demolished Thwaites Arcade and onto King William St. Then the small covered car park on Regent St and a glimpse of the Wholesale Market, with the Wimberly estate, St James's church and Brookhouse Lane as a backdrop. Fab stuff. Thanks Kalynda and your great uncle Stanley of course.

Well thank god for people like Stan, who bother to take the time to film his environment, and leave it for people like me to look back and appreciate what we had back then, Nice one Colin,

Fabulous piece of film and editing. Thank you. My Uncle built that bridge for the Preston bypass.

Where is that bridge Paul. Is it where I'm thinking close to the Tickled Trout? I haven't been down that way for a long time. I had a look on Google Earth / Google Images or whatever it's called last Saturday when I left the above comment, but couldn't identify it from the images. Colin

Also where would Stanley have been stood as he filmed it. Just trying to get my bearings. Cheers.

@@MrBlackburnlad I'll see if I can find it myself. I have a photograph of the Men involved with building it including my Uncle, when it celebrated 50 years since construction.

@@npr1300A8 Thanks Paul. I know I've passed it in the past. Those 'wall' like supports stick in the minds eye and I know it's in the vicinity of the Tickled Trout. I just don't know where exactly. Colin

Does anyone have pictures/video of 70's/80's Lower Audley, Knuzden, Belthorn or Duckworth Hall in Blackburn, Lancs?
