Only Gabriel manages to show us the industrial area and back alleys of an oasis. Reminds me a bit of that video with the sewage disposal on Hydra. That is what I like about this channel, actually.
These Egyptian vlogs have been quite intriguing Gabriel. A nice divide from Greek Islands & now we will be ready to get back soon to the next Greek island shortly
Wow, what a strange land. Not in my wildest imagination would I have thought a desert oasis would be so extensive in area 🤔 You wouldn't want to roam around the tomb area at night in case of breaking a leg falling in a hole! 😮 Love seeing your adventures Gabe.
I've considered going to every location you've been to in the last five years, but Egypt has beaten me. I love the idea of Egypt, but it's just too challenging! I'll enjoy it vicariously through your videos! Thank you! PS: I am loving the increased detail and historical information presented in your vids lately.
Siwa is a very special and unique place, but as usual, the Egyptian state does not care about arranging tourist places, but the people are very nice.I give Siwa a 10 out of 10 historical value.
I'm glad you're exploring new territory like the earlier videos. Lately it's been the same country and places again. Middle east and the old Christian routes looking interesting. MynameisTony does great travels to off the road places in Greece and similar to Gabe's style.
Wowww nice Very Interesting and historical Places on Earth Siwa Oasis EGYPT I've learned so Many History and Culture of Egypt thank u so much sir Gabe for your Series of Travel walk around tour video stay safe Godbless from the Philippines ♥️🇵🇭😊🙂
Assassins Creed: Origins starts in Siwa. Kinda looks like it does in game, even though its set about 2000 years ago. Pretty cool! And watch out for the local Medjay !
I remember your travail of hotel near Athens Airport. We just stayed in a really great place ten minutes from airport. It is called Comfort Stay Apartments, listed on Expedia. It has restaurant, laundry, bar, etc. Cheers. Free shuttle from airport as well.
If you search Athens Airport & lower cost filter to $200/ nite it pops up 1st in list @ $80. Just did this on Expedia. Heading to Naxos ferry. Gotta run.
Great bike tour. Glad you called it quits though towards the end, looked way too hot. Thanks for what you did show. The Mountain of the Dead looked very mystical, interesting seeing inside the tombs. Loved the history lesson, so much Greek influence thanks to Alexander the Great. You certainly know how to go off the beaten track! Loving this series!❤✨☀️
Among other people, there would have been Allied soldiers posted on those hills in 1940-1942, looking out at the Western Desert for any sign of Rommel's troops invading through the desert wastes. While most of the fighting occurred in the coastal plains, it was easy for raiding parties from both sides (like the Allied Long Range Desert Group, a precursor to today's Special Air service) to cut south through the empty desert and attack supply lines.
Geia sou Gabriel! Is it safe for everyone to eat bread or drink juices like you do in Egypt? Or it is that your immune system is strong from your travelling around the world?
ca you please tell me what app you utilize to edit you videos , I am impressed by the hi quality of the cinematography specially the sound, filmed with an action camera . saludos
Is the same pinkish or is that just the digital effect? Amazing where you are. Most of us will never go there. To imagine being there is even powerful.
Incredible wall paintings. You are a braver man than me but your risk allows me to see things I would never see in my own travels. Curious question, have you injured yourself in traveling that required hospital care.
I hope to search Google maps someday soon in my dreams - for the Morris Oasis Interpretive Center where scrambling tourists can haul buckets of the Mtn. of the Dead debris, hammer clumps of ancient Adobe into nice & sifted neoMud bricks fashioned and reassembled into fundraising courtyards at the Cleopatra Springs AirBnB bunks (and hammock sites) - So shaded out of the blasting mid-day sun and into the protected shelter of food producing hoop & shade structures, extensive grape arbors and trellises with plenty of pomegranate/citrus juice, lamb kofta kabobs, fresh keiffer, large earthen ovens, tile topped tables, tents for evening entertainments, the best pyro-fire juggler troupes, with calming lemon balm - watermelon 🍉 drinks, citizens discussions of making the desert bloom with fog net surplusses. ☆ 💚 And a few more bicycles. I know, I can dream.
Walk forwards with my camera pointing backwards, looking back to make sure the camera is sorta level then look front to make sure I don't trip over a rock or bonk my head on the stone ceiling.
Fascinating!Check out a Greek archaeologist, Dimitra Souvaltzi, who spent her own money because she was convinced (after much reading) that Alexander the Great is buried in the Oasis of Shiva. She was grossly ridiculed by the Greek government but she DID find the ancient Temple of Zeus which Alexander had visited because his mother had brought him up with the conviction that he was the son of Zeus (Jupiter,to the Romans.)She DID find ancient Greek epigraphs of his tomb in Siwa. Port Said is an anagram of port of:Dias,by the way.Dias was the Aether-living god who divides and creates genes, while Zeus was his counterpart-god who unites them into an harmonious whole. (The arch enemies of this,by the way,are the Saturn- worshippers, since Saturn was the one who "ate his children" and within whose reign there was no reproduction but at least longevity. They still worship the 6-pointed star.)
I suppose that the Egyptians had elaborate burial practices because there wasn't enough combustibles to burn bodies? I know there are other reasons too, just an observation.

Gabriel I love watching your daily videos. I'm impressed with how hard you work. I booked a flight to go to Giza in November. I teach English using video calls so need fast WiFi. I'm looking for a hotel with pyramid view. I land at the new Sphinx airport. Should I be worried about Iran sending missiles to Israel? Any tips such as SIM cards and where to stay would be much appreciated. Thanks everyone in advance
For now Egypt isn't involved in the conflict, but definitely keep your eye on the news. I recommend using booking.com, you can check reviews and there's a rating for the wifi. Have a great trip.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos yes I will be shocked if it's true. I'm going to buy a We and Orange SIM card from the sphinx airport. Once in paris hotel told me WiFi was speed 100. I turn up at it was speed 100 at the reception. In my basement room it was speed 2
Thanx for the video Gabe. Was there in 1992 and though it's changed a lot as everywhere has the memories yet not as clear as before are still there. Was that supposed to be the Oracle of Amun?? Alexander the Greats Temple he prayed to? If so it has been totally destroyed. Look at old pics.
I think I am addicted to your videos! Thank you for showing those incredible and peaceful places 😍
Addiction is bad

ps: I think they should adopt the hot air balloon thing for the Siwa Oasis, it would be a magical experience.

Hi Gabriel, looking for the strange macabre you're turning into Ripley's believe or not or Gabriel tomb raider all you need is a bowie knife and whip.
