I’ll never forget the day I thought it would be a good idea to swing UNG (nat gas ETF) short because it was down trending. . When it counter trades.. holy crap does she whip. Lost $3000 over a 4 day span. This was probably 6 years ago now. Very good lesson was picking my battles, understanding why it moves, understanding when it moves and learning what the forecasts mean. Helped a lot. If that trade were to been spot futures I would have been super fucked.
I never understood day trading. Very difficult. My mentor always told me keep time on your side and don't quit your day job.

Honestly, I’m starting to buy into the theory that Natgas is being kept low on purpose and interest rates will be cut a lot next summer before the election to help this idiot president and his party try to get reelected!
