The interests was definitely a mess last year! Great information. Most times it's just best to save a great deposit for ease.

Yes, it was a hot mess. As in, save your deposit, buy whatever property you want to purchase and move on.

You can find a decent house for under £400,000 in several areas of the UK. However, this can vary significantly depending on factors like the size and type of property, proximity to amenities, and overall desirability of the location. Here are some areas where you can still find affordable housing:
      England
      1. Northern England:
Manchester: Certain suburbs like Stretford or Wythenshawe offer houses under £400,000.
Leeds: Suburbs like Headingley or Beeston.
Liverpool: Areas like Aigburth or Wavertree.
      2. Midlands:
Birmingham: Suburbs such as Erdington, Sutton Coldfield, or Selly Oak.
Nottingham: Areas like West Bridgford or Beeston.
      3. South West:
Bristol: Some outer suburbs or nearby towns like Keynsham or Yate.
Exeter: Suburban areas around the city.
      4. South East (Outside London):
Milton Keynes: Known for modern housing and good amenities.
Reading: Some suburbs or nearby smaller towns.
      Scotland
Glasgow: Suburbs such as Bearsden or Giffnock.
Edinburgh: Outskirts and nearby towns like Musselburgh or Livingston.
      Aberdeen: Various suburban areas.
      Wales
Cardiff: Suburbs like Pontprennau or Radyr.
Swansea: Areas such as Mumbles or Sketty.
      Northern Ireland
Belfast: Suburbs like Ballyhackamore or Dundonald.
Derry/Londonderry: Various parts of the city offer affordable housing.
      Other Considerations
Rural Areas: Many rural parts of the UK offer more affordable housing, though commuting to major cities can be a consideration.
Small Towns: Towns like Shrewsbury, Stafford, or Ipswich can offer good value.
The property market can be dynamic, so it is advisable to check current listings and consult with local estate agents to get the most up-to-date information on housing prices in specific areas.

For a joint mortgage, do the payments need to come from the both accounts or one person can be making the payments

    • @pathwayuk
      @pathwayuk  7 месяцев назад +1

When two or more people take out a joint mortgage to buy a property, they can contribute towards paying it off together. However, one person will still need to make the monthly mortgage repayment to the lender on behalf of everyone involved.
