We salute Fresno State I knew that we would have a tough game giving the fact you guys finished 10-4 last year it was definitely a great game best of luck Bulldogs
Last year's team was special. This year, just want to see steady improvement. Warren OK for first game ever, but he must make strides quickly. Making playoff would be great accomplishment.
The QBs played quite well considering how little yardage Edwards and Mullings gained on the ground, less than 100 combined. Which was very uncharacteristic for Michigan football
Loveland, Mullings, Zvada and of course Mason Graham all had a really good game. O Line and Dono struggled at first but improved throughout same with Will J, Warren played ok and Orji ran the ball well. Next week we will really get to see the identity of this team I think, gonna be interesting.
@@pblanks23 to be completely honest I’m not expecting to win that game I’m just hoping we can put up a fight and use that game similar to how Alabama did last year.

True but let's be honest this Michigan defense is great and the offense is below average at best against a good fcs football team. Now going against bigten teams and Texas it's a 8 or 9 win team at best. Yes defense wins championship but let not kid ourselves offense will lose 2 to 4 games this year

Team 144 was the best in UM history and they were on a mission. Georgia is that team this year after being snubbed from playoff. As long as UM beats MSU & OSU - I'm good. Brady Hart will be in AA before we know it. Until then groom and grow the talent.
The first thing that came to mind after rewatching the game was "blue belt blues." the team looked tight like they were afraid to make a mistake. they played not to lose, not try to win. I hate to say it, but I almost think michigan is better off if they lose next week. 😬 that takes a lot of pressure off and allows the team to develop. the team is stacked with talent and can/ needs to be a very different team by November. if they lose, the pressure is off, and nothing changes. the big ten title, besting osu, and playoffs are all still on the table. who knows, they may end up playing Texas again anyway. the faster they shake off last years success, the better. go blue! bosa
The Offensive line needs a lot of work! Not surprising tho its a totally new O line! I think Davis Warren will be fine the more he plays and the O line needs to protect him better hes gonna need some time to throw the ball. Alex Orji just seems really one dimensional, not sure if he'll get his passing game together i think he already would have if it were going to happen, Warren is obviously the better passer which makes him the better choice at the position.
I've been saying all year, when you lose your top 6 O-linemen it requires A LOT of work, regardless of reps last year when ahead. It's just NOT the same, ALL REAL O-linemen know that
Defense looked great for the first game, offense worried me a little.Hopefully it was just first game jitters and they can kick it in the ass next weekend and show those boys from Texas how it’s done.
If we are not going to the playoff this year and it’s going to be a waste of a season, let’s just start Jayden at QB. He is the only hope as a QB for the future just get him ready for next year with one year already under his belt and all the growing pains done instead of having to go through growing pains next year
Jayden couldn't beat out a guy who gets injured every third play, a former walk on and a guy who may or maybe not can throw. Put that guy in against Texas, OSU, Oregon ....nonsense.
@@michiganmadeproduct6765 again I said IF as in if we didn’t make the playoff and the season turns out to be trash then it’s better we work on a QB that has more upside for the future which Jayden is the only QB in the room that fits the bill
Our defense looked elite Saturday night!!! But our O-line needs to protect our QB better & dominate the trenches so we can explode in the run game like the last 3-4 years! We also need to get rolling offensively especially with Texas coming to Ann Arbor next week
I'm hopeful for the Don but Mullings was just having more success in each carry. I've felt Mullings was more like Haskins but we'll see how things play out.
Donovan was really disappointing. His ability (as has always been the case) to break away from contact is really poor. He has great vertical speed and solid vision but Mullings is much quicker, and can break contact much better. He’ll have a great year.
Running Edwards between the tackles makes no sense and has never been his strength. Let Edwards find the hole and he will be ok. But as mentioned Edwards often can’t break away from the initial tackle
Jj struggled early as well it’s all new starters I think we’ll be fine everybody in the country struggled yesterday think Oregon beat Idaho by 10 there favorite for natty will be fine just gotta get don going
The play calling was vanilla they took out starters to see what they had in real game time.. we played a very good team with 3 straight serious winning season.. this was needed before a legit threat in Texas… they now know Mullings has to be the guy on 1-2nd down.. maybe Edward’s on thirds that aren’t for sure between tackle runs… more steady diet or run and play action to come I assume and Crippen full time guy at Center
Running edwards between the tackles has never been his strength. Let Edwards find the holes and bounce it out when he sees a gap. Edwards isn’t known to break tackles so running him in traffic makes no sense
Those in the rounds should come in front of the QB for it is quicker for the runner pulling so he can make is cut up the field faster or the QB can fake the handoff and throw to edwards who looks like he is blocking or throw back to TE going the opposite way there is so much that you can run off that look. My 2 cents any Go Blue.

Don't get all the fans criticism. But I saw us only short of getting the ball to our wideouts . Of course to me this isn't a very strong WR room. They are small but capable. But I also believe can be corrected over time. Texas is next . Good we see them early. Go Blue
No ur crazy yes he’s improved & looked great but a lot of that was credit to the O-Line finally dominating but The Don is our starting RB & just a lot more faster and more lighter on his feet not taking anything away from Mullings he’s evolved
