Innovation, science and technology. These are big topics. To really understand these issues, you have to cite statistics.

I have been saying this for years.
And worst of all is the fact that almost everyone talking aobut this has the biggest blind spot imaginable: China's rapid push into the technology that will grant whoever gets to it first a position of global dominance: the next generation of medical technology such as regenerative medicine, bionics, gene therapy, epigenetic cures, etc. with some impressive early results such as curing diabetes for the first time
If you think it's irrelevant just think for a moment: Is there a way to compete with a country that can sell your people and your allies a cure to disease, disability and aging in exchange for your loyalty and money?

The West put themselves in this position. Using their wealth their ancestors created to shake their fingers and lecture poor countries to do austerity without investing into their actual infrastructure like China is doing is now biting the West in the butt.
The West, as an American, are the greatest talkers, even if they don’t know how to do something. We have mastered the art of BS through thhe use of Hollywood and image. We also use our global media to paint us as the good guys no matter what we do, and we do the absolute worst while maintaining hegemony.
If China can solve their pollution problem this quickly, I am excited to see what else they can do with their leadership. They will do BETTER than the US because they’ve seen first hand what militarism and pushing other countries around has done.
And many Americans are done with the BS. Listen to Michael Hudson and he will clearly outline how much bs the West promotes thru finance capitalism which only benefits the rich who don’t do labor while they devalue labor because NONE of the rich do labor lol.
The West is the ultimate castle defending plutocracy. Time to break them walls.

As a Chinese person, I find it really odd that Western thinking has shifted. Before, the West was all about "trade first" - they won the competition with the Soviet Union through trade and investment. But now, the West seems to be all about "ideology first." Why not just consider cooperating with China? You put in the money, and you get technology and products in return. Chinese technology also needs the Western market for consumption. We could all benefit from cooperation, right?

    Hello Chris!
It's a good video about the word's situations.
I'm lucky because I can work with chinese engineers (sw. developers) and I see this very closely. Their attitude to the work is very different as the attitude of the "western peoples"... I think this fact, also can help to China to win the technology race...
I aggre with your thought, we (wesetn peaople) have to change a lot of things if we want to win or growning up to the future..
And thank you for the very informative video as always!

The West remind me of Conor McGregor just before the Nate Diaz fight lmao our elites are so lazy and privileged, their heads stuck so far up their other end.

too little, too late. Modi spend all India's political capital during his reign and achieved worsen relations and retreating investments from both Western or Chinese bloc. India shift will have to be done largely alone. Good luck.

@ it’s not that. It’s that all trading and manufacturing was in china , but now the it’s shifting the world is more diversity . Chinas economy and tech will not expand in same phase. Just look at the chip industry. They achieved 4nm just recently. But Apple it self have 3nm and Thiwand have 2 already. You should not only rely on what they are saying as all countries talk good about them self to be more attractive. You should read trading numbers and economics results and GDP is also not what to look for . Anyway they are still a good country
