    Just to explain the many solar panels. In 2000 we had a red-green government and they decided to pay about 50 cent per KWh for 20 years for solar energy. At that time, solar panels were rare and expensive and at a certain point, Germany bought about 70 percent of the worlds production. But that started the industrial production, and the decline in price made solar to what it is today. Later the new CDU-SPD government reduced the earnings to prevent the state owned power companies and ruined a lot of german solar companies.

    Didn’t notice the lighting being off and I’m “no” vegan, but no harm in looking at what it has to offer, it is after all, your channel. I live in NRW and we have the same recycling options as you guys have down there, so I think it’s pretty much Germany wide, though may be lacking in places.

    Very good and very important topic 👍
    I totally appreciate it if someone likes to talk about it.
    We all can see what's going on at this world no matter where you live, even part's of Germany were hit very hard.
    This month we have a big and a few smaller elections. They will show us in which way we like to go. And for the environment a change is necessary, the focus on the environment needs to grow a lot more. Also as example for Europe, because we are responsible for a lot of horrible things around the world. The big nations need to do something. Germany, France,
    Great Britain, Italy, Spain, China, South Korea, Japan, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US.

      we have to understand that we are in this together and need to solve these issues together.
      We as the consumers in the privileged Western World need to change our way of life.
      And it's good that on social media like RUclips start to talk about.

      @@neevabee_ You want changes in germany? Well, in my opinion the typical german voter doesn't want any real changes - just small adjustments which will not hurt/cost money. "Scheinheiligkeit" or "Selbsttäuschung" is typical. Please excuse my mistakes, school is a long time ago - I am just a middle age german with a slightly cynical look on society.

      I think it is very sad that people use words to SAY they want change - but won’t take any actions. In English we say “actions are louder than words” and I think this completely works with what you’re saying :(

    Buying local produce can help the environment by saving on transport pollution, yes, but I personally consider it even more important to buy organic food (local and organic is best, of course). Otherwise, you're just encouraging the local farmers to keep polluting your own region's soil with chemicals.

    • @neevabee_
      @neevabee_  3 года назад +1

      I totally agree! I also try to buy mostly organic :)

    And you know what's the best? When you have solar panels on your roof, you have the right to sell your electrical power that you are generating back to the power network. In this case the electricity meter runs backwards :-)

    I generally don't have a problem with vegans. It becomes a problem when vegans try to proselytize (is this the right word in this context?) and convert everyone around them. Sadly this is what most of them try do after their "enlightenment", at least in my experience. It has probably to do with a lot of vegans became a vegan because it's "in" or "fashion" and not because it's their real belief.
