AP Computer Science Principles focuses less on the actual coding aspect, and more on the principles of what you’re doing. It wants you to learn how to be abstract, how to be creative and think differently, and how what your creating will effect the world. It will be known from the start of the class that all things related to technology have a benefit and harmful effect when used the way it was intended, and AP Computer Science Principles is basically “what can we create to make life easier and better on this planet”.

I'm gonna be honest, I kinda agree with him because our AP CSP class learned Javascript without even learning the meaning behind it. AP CSP is a foundational course in learning the building blocks and components of comp sci. If you have never coded before or don’t have an understanding of say, what a for loop does computationally or what logic gates are, this is a good course to help you learn that knowledge and understand those concepts so you can dive into a harder course like CSA and excel.
I'm a freshman and I'm just about finished with AP US Government.
