- Here is a video to show that there is no such things as impossible material. Sometimes when you look at what you have you might think it's impossible to bonsai. In this video Peter takes a Chinese Juniper that has been left to grow wild for a number of years and turns it into a Raft Bonsai.

WOW!! 🤯 i DO see the forest through the trees! You absolutely amaze me with every video. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful craft with us.😊 I'm already looking forward to the next one. 🌳
I’m attempting to create bonsai from plumeria. I have a cutting I would like to raft. Thank you for this video. Gives me plenty of ideas and inspiration!
You mention saving sick trees with sphagnum moss, can you teach us how that is done? Aftercare environment and whatnot.
Mr. Chan--I am a big fan, and would love to know if you will be posting an update to this lovely forest project? Thank you and I hope you are well!
Absolutely visionary and creative!!
Sir,You are a master. Thanks
So so cute. You learn something new listening to you every day. ☺☺☺
I learned a lot from this video! I would never have thought to cut a branch halfway as you did and bend it upward leaving the cut end in the sphagnum moss like that. Brilliant!
Peter you are the man ! I have learned so much in your videos thank you so much for your time it so valuable
Well done! I would never dream of doing such a thing. Hv to try. Thks. Rgds, Jay.
Thank you for sharing ❤
WOW am awed by your video, really one of a kind
Absolutely visionary! You are a true artist sir.
That was wonderful!!😱😄👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you for these wonderful videos! You are an excellent teacher.
Hello Peter, could we please see this tree again? Wondering how it turned right now.
Thank you
I couldn’t look when you snapped that branch. You certainly know how to push the material to its limits but I know it comes from years of experience. Will the original rootball not dry out without any covering?
Great work you are a master
Nice thinking.
Wow very very nice video
excellent
The bonsai goat 😎
Very clever and inspiring! Awesome.
Incredible 😀
Thank you for another great video!
amazing, thanks for the video,
I've seen pictures of raft bonsai where the former trunk was protruding from the soil to create a kind of wooden ground or bridge for the little trees. Do you ever make raft bonsai like that? It was so visually interesting!
Thank you, wise bonsai yoda
I love this.
I love your channel... Could you help me with finding the right branches to trim on a 5yr old Chinese Elm that's over grown from neglect
Amazing!
Very impressive. Have you any suggestion for root hormone. Products i have used in the past brought unfortunately not the effect, i was looking for. Thanks a lot for the interessting videos on your channel. Keep on your nice work. Greetings from Germany
All rooting hormones are basically synthetic auxin. All the same. They will only give a small help. You still need to get everything else right.
Peter Bone thanks for your Info. So i will try on with the products i have and will give my best.
We use a commercial product which is IBA - Idolyl Butyric acid. Comes in powder form.
So curious if this thing is still alive. Please show again- dead or alive.
Спасибо
Squibbels are officially better than me at planting trees.
He said, "raft". I said, "brilliant!"
Hi there! Hey I have some 5-8(?) Year old post oaks. Are they to old to shape?
Impressive! Just one thing - it's really hard to read text which appears (?!) from the bottom to the top while everyone's reading from top to the bottom.
Has anyone done this with larches? Do you think it would work?
Can i ask. Would this work on scots pine because I've heard scots is a hard one to root or air layer. Thank u
Doing picture tree I tumult because 🌲
I thought bonsai was a gentle art form. Not any more!
"Tease the roots"..... murder. Just kidding. It looked funny being sped up.
