Can you talk more about the oil change process with these installed? Or at least talk about the weight of these, the specific type of metal, and how thick the metal is? Consider the Toyota 4Runner skid plates...they weigh like 130 lbs for steel and like 90 lbs in aluminum! Hence oil change access doors. You mentioned "skid needs to come off for oil changes." If these are anywhere near as heavy as 130 lbs, what i'm hearing you say is "these are a real PITA that require special care to avoid stripping threads whenever installing or removing the plate." If they weigh less than 90 lbs, I'm hearing you say "these are very light duty compared to skid plates that overlanders use on their Tacomas, Land Cruisers, etc," I'm also noticing there are no vents anywhere. What testing have you done to confirm trans temps and engine oil temps didn't skyrocket? Lastly, if you look at skid plates from the big guys (i.e. CBI off road, Victory 4x4, ARB, etc.) you will find that they all weld in protectors for the bolts that hold the skid plate in place. I know you counter sunk to protect the screws, but any real gouge to that screw by a rock and its now that much more a PITA to remove the next time I'm doing an oil change, let alone the need to replace hardware. Im SUPER interested in this kit, but have concerns. I'd be willing to pay an ever higher premium (say...50% more) if it takes you added R&D to develop these into a truly bash proof product that is easy to do oil changes with AND doesn't overheat my van.
Hey! Great video. What kind of lift would you recommend for an auto detailing GMC Savanna setup? In terms of lifting the van from the rear because my water tank, and other equipment causes a hang in the rear. Thanks!
It seems there only for vans with the 3” lift. Darn shame there are no after market skid plate, belly plate or gas tank plates for these vans. Other than what they offer but agin unfortunately there only for lifted vans.

These weigh only 40lbs maybe? they are easy to remove and install.
That's great to have underneath
Love the Chevy Express Van!!!
The best!
💰ya had me 💯until “weld this to” lol 😂
Absolutely fantastic as always!
Would you happen to be working on skid plates for the econolines?
What's the widest rim that can be used with the 5 inch lift kit? How much negative offset can that kit handle?
The biggest we typically use is 18 but have done 20" I think it was around 18 on the offset, it has been a while.

So the front differential skid plate will work on a 2003 1500 all-wheel drive and four-wheel drive? It looks about the same as my van underneath
Who makes a skid plate for the fuel tank? Asking for an express awd
