My father had a 1956 Ford Station wagon, 2 dr., it had a Thunderbird engine under the hood, I used to back it in and out of our driveway, since I wasn't old enough to drive on the streets. He bought it from my Uncle Tommy, used it for a work car, the frame finally rusted through, as those cars were notorious for rust...it brought back fond memories...Thanks!
THE YEAR I WAS BORN 1955. WOW.BEAUTIFUL.
Just look at how clean & uncluttered it is under the hood. Easy to get at, easy to work on....unlike todays nightmares where you can't do a damned thing for yourself!
That was way nicer than the Chevy that year!! Those interior shots were great, looked like something right outta the factory brochure!!☺
I enjoyed looking at the car. I like restorations without a lot of modifications. Keeps things more like old times.
@805ROADKING I'd have to agree, this car has a lot of style. It's also one of the cleanest that I've come across...just a real beauty. Thanks for taking a look my friend.
Glad you hear that you have an appreciation for classic American cars. Thanks for taking a look at this one. I hope you're able to get one of your own one day.
They sure did this one RIGHT!!!
Imagine when something that beautiful was your daily!
There Was A Gentleman in Small Community of Brooks,GA.,That Had A Resto.Garage in His Back Yard & Once Got Lucky Enough to See Several Fairlane Club Vic's.That Was Only Thing He Dealt In.Made A Delivery to That Address & Really Enjoyed Looking at 3-4 ,He Was Involved in Restoring. They Are Becoming Rarer than T- Birds of That Era.
@oldtime40s It's definitely a well-built car...it'll probably still look great 25 years from now. Thanks for taking a look at it!
Wow. such a beautiful ride would love to drive this beauty!
Car looks wicked in first shot, good angle.
I wish you could open a branch in Australia....suggest Sydney.....so we can access some of the most stylish cars on the planet......and these are unquestionably American....and were made in the 50s...and into the 60s. Beautiful car mate. Love the interior !!!

@koioo2 Yeah, that chrome just has a very solid, substantial look to it. It's an impressive looking car. Thanks for checking it out!
I certainly have some comments on this car. First off,,, the 55 Crown is my favoritecar. I did own one many years ago. Now,,, of note,,, there is no cottage cheese around the master cylinder so I hope it has silicone brake fluid. Really it is an impressive car.Of note,,,, no big shot has destroyed this car by installing spotlights. I hate em and if you ever installed a spotlight,,, you know how much damage is being done to the car.Amazing shine on everything. The lucky person that gets this car will certainly be a proud owner of a very special car that was not easy to get it in this tip top like new shape. So,, I say,,, WOW. I really like it. Just amazing to view.
My favorite car of all time
Love everything about this Gorgeous looking Car
My fav. car ....55 Ford. ❤️. That s beautiful
@briefman49 Two-tone does look great on these cars. Red/white or Blue/white....both look great. Thanks for checking it out!
Thanks for taking a look, I appreciate it.
It really is a beauty, thanks for taking a look!
Awesome,we just didn't appreciate or realize how much they would mean to us at a later time.
Depends on the use. The 55s and 56s were great handlers on the dirt tracks, but the A-Frames often just broke apart. The Y-Blocks also were known as having weak rods. The differentials were about indestructible, and the trannys respectable.
I still remember the round radio and the "sun roof" for the speedometer housing.
Incredible car, this. The stuff in the showrooms was rarely this well detailed.
Beautiful classy design, real chrome, real metal, real steel, real car. Not your kids Ford Focus.
@shartne She really is a beauty. Thanks for having a look!
Wow that interior looks original, and if restored, lots of money was spend replicating the 55 design and materials. Incredible.
@Bevoin1970 It definitely is a stylish automobile....and very well preserved. It does make me a little sad that I can't put it in my garage. Thank you for checking it out my friend.
This has to be Ford's top of the line model for 1955. Really beautiful copper upholstery inserts. I never knew Ford offered power windows for'55. Perhaps they started offering them even a few years earlier. I think Mercury was the first car to offer power windows on a standard passenger vehicle and this began with their 1942 model year.
Always been a favorite of mine...even though I don't REALLY own one. Die cast model with the plexi-glass top. I think it was the same one Peggy Sue rode home in from school when she first woke up in the past...in Peggy Sue Got Married. Beautiful car.
like new in 55. well done great example of a fine Ford.
@burrexkeefAGAIN It's definitely one of the most beautiful cars from that time period. I do like the skyline version with the plexi top...those were very cool. This particular car is one of the most well-preserved I've seen. It's really a beauty from any angle. Thanks for checking it out!
@azzarbprime1 You'd be hard-pressed to find a nicer one. It really is a beautiful car all the way around. Thanks for having a look, Mike!
Thanks for taking a look at this one.
wow that is out standing!
BEAUTIFUL
Nice car. Had to pinch myself to believe it wasn't 1955, and I wasn't 12 anymore.
I agree, simplicity is a good thing. Thanks for watching!
@gene978 It definitely is a sharp looking car. Thanks for taking a look my friend!
@bisquik3006 That sounds interesting...police pkg would be even better. Thanks for taking a look at this old Crown Vic.
Thanks for checking it out!
Those tubular bumper guards are rare on any car of that era. However they are still commonly seen in Cuba. Even that interior colour is very cool and unusual!
I hate those damn things!! They just ruin the looks of the car!! Makes it look like it has guard rails around the front. The Cubans can have all of them as far as I am concerned!
I thought the guards were kinda cool. A neighbor (Ford salesman) across the street when I was a kid in the '60's had one for his wife. All black w/ skirts, kit and guards.
This is what a real car looks like
Ford should really make a modern version of the original fairlane Crown Victoria, like what Jaguar did with the Eagle Speedster. That would be awesome! :)
I agree. That would be very nice. However with Ford as with any other car company it's a numbers game. If market research shows that they won't sell at least 50,000 units of a new model coming out of the gate they probably aren't interested in producing it especially since all of the original dies have most likely been scrapped by now. Also Ford quit producing rear drive sedans and body on frame automobile platforms in 2011.
It's a good thought though. All we have to do is to convince enough people that this is a worthy endeavor.
You mean convince Ford to make it again, as a special car?
Well yes, I see your point. I guess that as you stated reproducing a 1955 Fairlane would have to be done on a specialty car basis without Ford hoping to make a large volume of sales. However as you said Jaguar did have a special run of the Eagle Speedster and Ford may feel the same way opting for a significant public relations benefit without expecting to come close to recouping the cost of production.
Mañana cumplo 60años y este lindo auctomobil a sido mi sueño aun no lose depronto lo conseguire por que esto si es un verdadero aucto
Muito lindo sou um apaixonado por Ford 1955.tive um.VALDIR Brasil
Hey, there's nothing wrong with the modern Crown Vics. They're obviously not as cool as the oldies, but their still great cars. I had a 2000 Grand Marquis as a daily driver, until I hit a deer recently. I've been looking at a lot of Crown Vic police interceptors lately as a possible replacement.
@SuperLou63 I really like finding them in this type of condition. It really is a beauty. Thanks for watching!
Simply perfect ! and for 33k that's not bad !
CaptinJackUSMC Jack: The late 56's Were Best,Some Had the T-Bird 312' s,Like the 56 & 57 T-Birds,But More Expensive.
favorite car 1955 or Better 1956. Had a 56 crown Vic when I was 28, sold it for $800.00. dumb me. 🤠❤️
WOW! what a beautiful car.. such style.. dont build em like that anymore
@Trex1268 I agree completely....thanks for checking it out!
Very very nice car! 50's american cars are my favourite, when i got my driving license 1 year ago i could only afford (i wanted a classic car, and didn't want at all a 2010 Kia Sorento my father wanted to give me) a 1979 Citroën Dyane 6 convertible, which mechanics comes from the30's,an extremely simple car known to be "unrollable" but good enough to be 18... I hope one day i'll have enough money to bring one of this great cars here in Spain, they're simply great! (european cars are always tiny)
awesome!
@4fulsealteam Thanks Robin...hope you and Boom have a great Thanksgiving too!
I've got my eyes on a 55 at the moment. It's been sitting since the early 70's, but she is all there. I could be mistaken, but it might just have the police package like my old 56 did.
What a great battery hold down bracket... exactly as factory, I assume?!
love this Ivory white paint
love it! i own a crown vic, unfortunately its 42 years newer...
BruXel / Analisando.
um ford victória muito belo...
@JOHNINCOLUMBUS It's amazing how much fun you can have as a kid...just starting up a car or running it up and down the driveway. Glad this brought back some fond memories for you. Thanks for watching!
@Jack954100 It really is a beauty....thanks for taking a look!
@talfacprez Thanks for checking it out! She is a beauty for sure.
@rogerstill71 It's definitely a real beauty.....thanks for taking a look!
@Busia1949 This one is definitely slick....thanks for watching, George.
If the year was 1955 and I had to choose between the 55 Belair or this beauty to me No brainer. WOW JEFF power seats and windows. Not a fan of the extended bumper treatment. Love the gold interior for a change.
I LIKE IT
@ONWSCCO I'd have to agree, the entire driving experience is different in a nice old classic. Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it!
always wanted a 55 crown - i did have a 55 Victoria but it wasnt the crown - this is one model above the one i has (sold it back in 92)
My grandpa had one of these cars along with a 57 fairlane convertable.
beautiful
I dont know what to say, I feel sick, not because its a horrible car, its because she's absolutely gorgeous and I want her!.. :-)
From every angle that car looks like a supermodel, she's jaw dropingly good looking in a classy stylish kind of way. imagine cruising along in that baby, wow!
If I were a rich man eh? I would snap that car up without a second thought.
Talk about dangling a carrot in front of a donkey, you've sure done that showing me this beauty... ha ha
I'm glad you like it. Thanks for watching!
Glad you like it. Thanks for watching!
@hunhun23 Thanks for having a look at it!
@trviideoman They have a series of flags from different countries running across the front of the building. They do sell cars to people from all over the world. Thanks for watching!
What is keeping the battery in place ? What was the frames shape on this one...? A friend had one that rusted bad... Like the kit on the back...
@Vorahk3985 It does have kind of an aggressive look to it. Thanks for watching!
This car is dead sexy. Period.
love the car, but wish it was two-toned. This is one of the those cars because of the way the chrome is done that needs to be two-toned. Just my preference, but would love to have this in my garage.
Nice.
We had a guy in our neighborhood with a black Ford like this one in 1960, and the car looked as if it had been lowered . Does anyone know if cars were lowered in 1960 ? 🖤👽
@GeneralGHustler You might be right, lol, they sure were putting it everywhere a the time.
So fine
would this have had the police interceptor engine? my dad had one with the interceptor engine said it would pass everything but a gas station.
No problem when Ethyl was 20c a gallon !
@exner45 Merci de l'observation!
Qué vellesa hermano
Do you have any for sail
1. Because this is a "Crown" Vicky, you should have focused somewhat and explained to the newbies WHY it's called a Crown....
2. The Continental Kit was not a "common option" but more a rare and expensive one. VERY few '55 Fords had these back then because of the cost.
My parents bought new a 55 Ford Sunliner convertible and it came with fender skirts and a Continental Kit. The car was solid black with a yellow and black interior. It had a black convertible top that was made out of a rayon type fabric, not the vinyl. The top material had a satin like sheen to it but it didn't stay nice very long. My dad said that it started to fade to a gray in about a year so he had it replaced with a white vinyl type top. Also, he tired of the Continental kit because it made it hard to get into the trunk and with the added weight to the rear of the car, it made the car drive a little strange and after about a year, he took it off and the car drove like a dream after that. I was born just before they bought the car. I remember the car very well but I never remembered the Continental kit or the black top. To me, the Continental kit does not improve the appearance of the car and actually ruins the rear view of the car, but old farts just love them and have to have them! I asked my dad what he did with his Continental kit and he said that it went to the scrap yard because you couldn't give them away, at that time!
I agree about the Continental Kit for the most part. There were some out there that only went about the tire kit itself and back to the bumper. No park bench on each side of the tire, just normal. But, better without them altogether.
If you know about the crown,I would like to hear. I remember seeing the name /symbol on a "late" model when I was a school age kid.
Çok guzel bir araba
vary nice classic car why is there a Canada flag in the background
hola genial saludos.!
@pulse0000 Thanks for watching!
esos autos pueden circular por las Calles de USA sin problemas con la policia y cuanto consumen de gas por galon.
Most Crown vics were two tone..I am thinking the restoration omitted the factory second color..Never see a solid color crown vic..
You're right. A missed opportunity to make this car even more exceptional.
i am looking for a56 crown victoria 2 tone light green and white for our 60th anniversary the car we had when got married anybody know where one is?
34,000.00 for it?

Looking for a 1956 Ford Crown Victoria for sale .
+B4BoomersBlockBoy7 Search Craigslit or check out the classifieds on Hemmings.com
56 Crowns are quite rare. Hard to find and expensive. I think the 56's look better than the 55's.
