They're running scared
This is exactly what we are going through with ESP Energy Service Partners. We got ripped off by ESP a solar company in 2021. A door to door salesman pitched his sales talk to my brother and myself. It sounded great…turns out it was all lies. He came back with his iphone when I wasn’t home and signed my brothe rwho has hepatic encephalopathy up for solar…$23k. Turns out it was $30k. Weren’t happy with this but decided to go thru with it because it sounded so good and we would get an $8500 tax rebate…NOT. Salesman said panels would cover 100% of our electric needs. Doesn’t even cover half. So our solar payment plus our power bill each month is more then it was pre solar. The contract cost is above market costs and it will never pay for itself. It costs as more then it did presolar. The finance company put a UCC filing on the property knowing we got ripped off. Turns out the salesman was not even registered to sell solar by the state. It is currently under investigation. Is there a way to void contract and remove UCC filing and panels? I have documentation on everything.
I'm sorry this happened to you. Is there an update on getting your contract canceled?
Do not buy solar panel. FEE FEE FEE
Powerhome Solar is changing their name to PINK ENERGY.
These solar salesman have come to my door several times and always with the same pitch. Such as, 'We're with the metering team' or 'We've been sent by the State to get people on solar'. I *politely* close the door.
I got solar 8 months ago and am very happy with it. However I did not use Powerhome Solar, I did get a quote from them and they were very pushy telling me that if I signed up that day I could get $5K off. I waited a couple days as I had 2 other companies quoting the project and am glad I did. Powerhome Solar quoted me $68,000 to install the system but would not give me a hard copy of the quote only show it on there screen (They claimed some BS about there quoting software using proprietary optimizing software to locate the panels on my roof as the reason they couldn't give me a copy of the quote). The other two companies I got quotes from came in at $42,000 and $40,000 so I went with one of the other companies which was a much smaller company but they did great work and I have been very happy. I have seen several video's like this about Powerhome solar and am very happy I didn't use them.
I've had my panels for almost a year at this point. January 3rd 2022 is when they started working, but not without a cost. I paid $88,000 for my system. I have paid both an electric bill ($300-$500/month), and a solar payment ($315/month) since July. When they installed my system, they didn't install it correctly which fried 1 of my 2 inverters. They came out again and installed another one without fixing the root cause which fried another one. Electrical fires are no laughing matter. In the state of Illinois, you are required to have a licensed electrician on site doing the work for any residential or commercial work, if done through a company like this because they have to work with the power company to get everything approved for operation, however they did not. On the phone, the employee I talked to agreed that they were knowingly sending unqualified and unlicensed technicians to do the installation and rework of major jobs at homes. You are allowed 4 breakers, equaling 80 amps, to be moved for your backup batteries. They removed 2 regular breakers and 2 GFCI breakers which is required to have by the National Electric Code within 6 feet of a water source and replaced them with regular breakers. This is a huge fire hazard waiting to happen. I am not allowed to do any work myself because it would void my warranty, so I have to rely on them to do the work and fix their mistakes. I was able to get them to come out and replace the breakers, however it wasn't until I heard one of my inverters arcing that I had seen they replaced the wrong breakers. One thing I was trying to do is figure out why my house is always pulling 2-3 kilowatts an hour. With every breaker off in my house, I am still using power and Powerhome or Generac can't figure out why. This is causing my house to use more energy than I can produce and is actually making my electric bills roughly $100 more expensive a month. Now as I wait for either my house to burn down due to an electrical fire or them to come fix my inverter again and swap my breakers, I sit here and wonder how I'm going to continue to pay both these payments when my 18 months are up with my loan. PHS told me that I would be getting $22,000 back for a federal tax credit and told me that I would have to use that towards my loan within the first 18 months or my payments will go up $150. That's fine, but they forgot to mention that the only way I will get the $22,000 back is if I paid that much back into taxes. Seeing that I won't be able to pay the amount I need, just guarantees my financial failure and will soon be the downfall to make be file for bankruptcy. I am 27, have a wife and a 4th child on the way, and the only thing I can do is pray I don't lose everything I've worked for to scam artists like PHS.
1. Sue the living farts out of them, bring all the regulators down upon them, call your insurance and or lein company, file criminal complaint. Look into breach of contract with this installers qualifications. 2. a gfci breaker, don't that beat all, learned something, didn't know bout them. 3. If you're sure you will lose your house over this, stop paying on it till this all gets resolved, inform the lender of your hardship. 4. Contact your local state rep..
@@JamesThomas-pj2lx we are doing all that. There is an arbitration clause that definitely holds up law suits. There is an entire movement of thousands of people who are trying to sue. The loan company is a problem too.
This is why you research a company before you sign a contract. Be more responsible with your money and don’t trust someone just because they seem nice.
@@unitedeagle4046 There are THOUSANDS of victims in this scam. They already feel stupid for believing the company was honest. People tend to judge people by their own standards. If you are a thief, you think everyone is a thief. If you are honest, you assume MOST people are honest. As a victim of this company myself, I promise you it's bad enough and we blame ourselves. That doesn't mean what they have done is OK. Blaming the victim for getting beat up doesn't stop the bully from beating people up.

Stop paying for the panels and say sorry I have no time for an interview, and get the hell off my property!
What's worse is if the home owners refuse to pay power home will just take out a lien and foreclose on their homes. HOA can do it, you think they won't...
You guys need to go out to their corporate headquarters in North Carolina. The install-only offices won’t have anything useful to say.
The north HQ is in Troy, MI
Now they're changing their name to Pink Energy. The CEO said the company changed its name because it wants to offer renewable energy products and services beyond solar power.
Ummm no? What they mean to say is "We're changing our name because we've tarnished the former name so badly with how many customers we've screwed over, so we are getting quite a negative reputation going under this current name. Therefore, in order to protect our company, we are hiding behind a new one."
Too bad a name change won't protect you so long as you continue to screw people over. Am yet another who was lied to by them. They quoted me a price, I said I was ready to go, didn't hear back from them, and mysteriously my email train with them somehow vanished. They came back with another quote that was double the price. So meanwhile even though I communicated and did everything right and told them I was ready, they were allowed to do shady shit like that. NEVER GO WITH THIS COMPANY!
“I want a full refund and the panels removed “ 😂, i bet you do. Who would take on $60,000 of debt to save $250 a month? Cant protect stupid!!! lol
American don’t know how to do math so sad !
The best part is one of their ads ran on youtube right before the piece. I looked into this, all it took was some questions and some quick math, and it was a hard NO.
Glad I quit working for Powerhome. They work you like a dog. 80+ hours 6 and 7 days a week. They'll fire you if you complain on about working Sundays. As a result, so many installers do not give a flying rip for quality of work. And crews have one maybe two guys who know what they are doing, and the rest are scrubs who won't last three weeks. But you don't even want to work after three weeks. You are their slaves, and slaves give work equivalent to how they are treated. Their salesman are all liar with nothing but commissions on their minds.
I used to work for powerhome u 100%right powerhome is a jk
My fiancé and I just quit yesterday. No regrets.

Our experience with Power Home Solar has been terrible. They cut our electric to a workshop when digging the trench and have not fixed it. They left huge broken beams and tools/bolts all over our yard. There is mud everywhere and dangerous trenches that are not filled in for more than a month. Installers canceled or never showed up for appointments. We even had water on the floor below our electric panel after they dug a trench by the house. I reported it. Nobody at Power Home Solar cared about or responded to our situation. Signing a contract with Power Home Solar was a huge mistake. If you are considering Solar there are reputable companies out there. Do your research and read the contract! We are still waiting a month after they started the installation for our yard to even be safe/usable. Based on their performance I am very concerned about future system production, minimum Power, and savings promised to us by sales representatives.

easy case.... by the way they charge you to much , in other country that much more expansive then America cost around 15 k for 70 sq meter .
Yes same thing happened to me in Ohio . Power Home Solar is a SCAM

As a solar pro for 3 years with reputable companies it’s so sad 😭 to see this.
1.) solar works great when ethically and done correct it’s a no Brainer for the HO financially. So to see power home scam people is the absolute worst thing for your industry and all the hardworking people in the solar industry. It gives us a bad name and increases customer doubt and anxiety.
2.)I feel bad for the actual homeowners that are losing money bc their project wasn’t handled correctly.
3. I learned a long time ago that selling is helping. You can have anything you want if you help others get what they want. If you can help people save money then you are going to do well. It’s ok as a salesman to have goals and go out and achieve :) but you have to do it with ethics!
I would love to do an interview I had the same experience in Ohio what a scam my payment is 286$ /month and my bill is actually more than it was before panels were installed . I paid an average price of energy bills of 130$ a month before panels now I pay over 450$ combined such a SCAM will cause some to go bankrupt
Assume the best way to go solar which go direct to big company like Sunpower etc.
I sell these systems for 25-30k 😆 not 66k
How can I get on the list? I have a PV Link with panels and Snaps not working and getting no help from Generac.
Most do not know that a 8,000 watts of panels with heavy clouds will not make very much power.
To compensate you need more panels to deal with cloudy days.
Panels can drop to only 10% output of panels when rainy or cloudy days are at the home site. Do 8,000 may put out only 1,000 watts or less.
you need about 20,000 watts of panels to deal with cloudy days
This makes a house with about
1,500 sq feet able to deal with a
2,000 watt load from house that has about 3 tons of air conditioners.
Real efficient air conditioners and
Very well insulated houses.
Extreme insulation is the main tool in these setups.
Most never get told this.
Older homes need lots of help getting
up to today’s R ratings of insulation.
R36 to R50 in attic insulation.
Then the Battery backup are not explained that even when they make good power in the day time on sunny days the batteries is the other sided of things. The batteries store energy to be used at night or back power.
18 kilowatt hour batteries will run
1,000 watt load 18 hours.
This means you need lots of batteries and they are very expensive.
So 20,000 watts of panels in a cloudy hot humid part of the country like
South east Texas.
Put as many panels as you can.
20,000 is not to much with lots of cloudy humid days in store for sumner and winter.
Sunpro Solar needs to be looked into as well.
Running 220v hvac continuously and 220v stove plus a 110 high watt refrigerator, you will have a power bill regardless, inverters and batteries have trouble with high loads, you can leave lights and other low wattage appliances on and be fine. I'm surprised they claimed they'd have no power bill at all with their existing appliances in place.
There’s ways to help the homeowners
If it’s 135 that means it’s why more
As stated before,new name.
Pink energy. Be aware!
His business will be done soon if its not already
That why I am glad I built my own system little by little with extra money I have got and I do not regret is its cheaper and if mess up its on me I am from South Africa sad see Americans pay so much just crappy jobs by dumb companies
Most people don't realize that overall, solar panel setups aren't that complicated to get up and running. Do some research, get a good multi meter and go build your own.
@@davelowman3574 most of the stuff is needed but I have build my own without a multi meter
I live in convoy ohio I have issue as well as other nothing in my 2nd contract is the same even though that 1st one disappeared right off the ended up with the 2nd I thought I was signing the 1st one all lies Dawn Lemke
Yes!!!
Have the panels removed and get another array of panels, see Powerhome in civil court. There is no subordinated lien they
can put on your property.
They put a UCC against the panels and equipment but refuse to actually repossess them. So if you decide to sell your house, you must pay off the lien or the new homeowners must take over payments. So, for all intents and purposes, they have a lien against your house. Unlike a car loan, they repossess the car, they WON’T take the panels. So you are pretty much held hostage.
